I have been working at Yelp full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

stacked fridge, paid benefits, relaxed atmosphere

Cons

frat house feel, micromanagement, high turnover, risky territories, children run environment

Advice to Management

invest in better territory management, tell new hires the truth about the YSDP program and set realistic commission goals for people

I worked at Yelp full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun company, cool start-up culture. Relaxed atmosphere and lots of young people. Can wear jeans to work.

    Cons

In sales, you will be chained to your desk by your phone, placing a million sales calls to annoyed business owners. Pay was crappy when I started but that was probably because it was entry level position and the economy was going down.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire more sales reps than you have leads for.

I have been working at Yelp full-time

    Pros

    +commission structure
    +ample opportunities for growth
+coworkers make the everyday grind worth it
    +Yelp kitchen
    +continuous learning

    Cons

The typical cons with any sales job-- trying to fit everything that needs to be done in an 8 hour shift can be difficult and stressful
