Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad to hear that you are having a five-star experience on our team so far. We understand that the Account Executive role is one of the tougher at Yelp, largely due to the challenges that come with cold calling, not just at Yelp, but anywhere you do it. As you mentioned, we work hard to create an environment that is inspiring and exciting so that even after you face a tough call, you still feel satisfied and proud of your work. That being said, we focus on rewarding every person with a competitive compensation package centered on much more than just a paycheck. This package includes things like stock incentives, cash bonuses, 401(k) matching, wellness reimbursements, work from home reimbursements, mental health and wellness services, and employer-paid insurance, to name a few. All told, our compensation package is very competitive in all of our markets and is based on what our employees value most - total rewards. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. We are so lucky to have you on our team!

          Pros

Working in your own home and benefits are great. If you're lucky, you'll meet awesome people to cry and complain with

          Cons

          - salary is not liveable unless you have zero bills - commission scale is not realistic, you get taxed 50% on any commission you make and you manager will suggest a scummy way of getting out of it *they will not tell you this when you get hired or RECRUITED* - horrible, horrible corporate culture - daily metrics are not doable if you have a functioning brain or feelings - DANGLE "TOP REPS" IN FRONT OF YOU BUT DON'T MENTION THAT THOSE REPS GET AN EXTRA TERRITORY *this is not shared as a team either, not sure if majority of employees know this* - the turn over rate is insane and embarrassing as a corporate giant - you harass business owners weekly (3 calls per week and 3 emails, for 2 weeks and if they don't respond they are sent to a new rep to do the same thing) - when getting hired, they say there is room for career opportunities, yet the openings are few and far between - if you're fresh out of college or desperate for a job, i know it's daunting looking but I promise you will wish you listened to this advice

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that your experience on our team was anything less than what you had hoped for. First and foremost, transparency in sales is something that we coach from the very beginning. We have a zero-tolerance policy for unethical behavior, and our playbook has always instructed our folks to communicate our product clearly and accurately. A career in sales of any kind comes with a fair set of challenges. We focus on rewarding every person with a competitive compensation package centered on much more than just a paycheck. This package includes things like stock incentives, cash bonuses, 401(k) matching, wellness reimbursements, work from home reimbursements, mental health and wellness services, and employer-paid insurance, to name a few. All told, our compensation package is based on what our employees value most - total rewards. In addition, we understand that the Account Executive role can be challenging. Our interview process is designed around transparency so that everyone who comes onboard has a solid understanding of the highs and lows that a career in sales can bring. While most folks at Yelp find the Account Executive role to be exciting and rewarding, we understand that it may not be for everyone. Your feedback is heard, and we'll be sure to share it with our leaders. We're thankful for your time at Yelp and wish you the best of luck in your next role!

Anyone have any stories of times where you declined an offer at one company (just because it wasn’t the exact right fit or you got another better offer at that time) and u successfully re-connect? Is that a burned bridge forever? Would they consider you for another job again?
