Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad to hear that you are having a five-star experience on our team so far. We understand that the Account Executive role is one of the tougher at Yelp, largely due to the challenges that come with cold calling, not just at Yelp, but anywhere you do it. As you mentioned, we work hard to create an environment that is inspiring and exciting so that even after you face a tough call, you still feel satisfied and proud of your work. That being said, we focus on rewarding every person with a competitive compensation package centered on much more than just a paycheck. This package includes things like stock incentives, cash bonuses, 401(k) matching, wellness reimbursements, work from home reimbursements, mental health and wellness services, and employer-paid insurance, to name a few. All told, our compensation package is very competitive in all of our markets and is based on what our employees value most - total rewards. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. We are so lucky to have you on our team!

          Pros

People are nice, fun little perks, work from home

          Cons

Mgmt and upper mgmt. They promote sale management mostly from within. Only cut throat sales folk tend to last that long. While sales mgmt can be nice- just the same, a lot more crappy people get promoted- and if they make Yelp $, they get to stay no matter the awful conduct. Many good sales people get let go here due to very non-sales related “issues”. Tread lightly with mgmt here. Oh! And while you may work for Yelp, any sales job here basically works with blinders- other Yelp depts might as well not exist to you. You will not receive 80% of the company communications because they could “distract” you from selling. While you make up a bulk of the revenue for Yelp, they will throw parties and say you are invited! Only to hold said parties always on the last days of the month and always seemingly starting an hour or two after work is over. A day when sales pros tend to work overtime or until the last min to make quota. Almost like they don’t really want you to go, huh? Base pay is also way lousy

We appreciate your feedback, and we are sorry to hear that your time with us wasn't what you had hope for. We strive to create a consistent and positive leadership experience across the board, and one way we do that is through our training and development opportunities. Folks interested in leadership must go through two different programs before being selected to become people leaders. The Manager Development Program (MDP) is a classroom-based curriculum designed to teach the fundamentals of the manager role. Candidates who successfully pass MDP then need to earn a spot in our Coaching Development Program (CDP). This is a 3-month, on-the-job training. After candidates show they can coach and operate according to our standards, they can apply to be a manager. Your feedback is heard, and we'll be sure to share it with our leaders. We're thankful for your time at Yelp and wish you the best of luck in your next role!

        Interview Tips

Feel free to post any interview questions you might be asked and I’ll help you compose an effective response :)

Do you experience that how long the hiring process would take at Thermo Fisher? I got my second interview with hiring manager at the beginning of November but I haven’t heard nothing from them. When I’ve emailed them to check in they just said that the process would be slow, no time frame. I would be able to get an offer soon from other company but work as contractor. Should I wait for Thermo Fisher?

Booz Allen Hamilton Recently applied and I've been referred for an interview! Any tips on interviewing with Booz Allen? And if I am being asked to complete clearance and background upfront, is this a good indicator for being hired?

Applied for a job a few weeks back, got a call from HR yesterday morning about an interview next week. She mentioned she'd shoot me an email with all the interview details, but so far, my inbox is empty. Assuming I'll hear from her early next week, is it normal for them to expect me to show up for an in-person interview on short notice, like couple days?
