    I worked at ZOLL Medical full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great product, great R&D, great sales compensation, good people.

    Cons

    Very top down organization. Marketing has no autonomy. Sales drives marketing org so it is short sighted driven by aggressive quarterly sales quotas. Marketers have no input to customer insights or long term planning. Great for someone starting their marketing career but not for an experienced marketer.

    Advice to Management

    Create shared goals between sales and marketing. Create long term planning cycle to complement sales cycles. Provide more autonomy to marketing to try new and current targeting strategies.
