I worked at Zep full-time

Pros

The inside sales team had a very strict daily schedule. This was my first sales position and I learned basic sales skills. Steady pay-check.

Cons

Not much room for upward opportunities. Low commission structure. Every day is exactly the same with not much opportunity

    I have been working at Zep full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Good people who care about what they do. Open work environment. Substantial decision-making and job autonomy. Managers tend to delegate and leave you to figure out how to get things done.

    Cons

    Management is not very strategic. Often resorts to layoffs to improve financial results. Individuals are often moved or promoted into positions that they are not qualified to hold.

    Advice to Management

    Utilize an external organizational consultant to create consistent practices across business units.
