Pros

The office is very nice. Has its own fully stocked kitchen of food that is available to you all day. There is also a gym downstairs with a shower and an office environment that promotes health and fitness. A gym membership is included where you can go to California Family Fitness right down the road. The office location is right off the freeway which is nice for easy access. It's also close to many restaurants. Coworkers are real friendly, and you make some good friends during your time there. There's also always some office drama happening to liven up your day. The company has an unfortunate issue of keeping employees. It's a revolving door that the company hasn't been able to solve for many years. There are fun team building and community events that happen regularly. If you want to give back to the community there is a team within the company you can be a part of. Be it food drives, habitat for humanity, or teaching children, this is a great place that allows you to do this.

Cons

Come here if you understand the full software development lify cycle. For all the features you will be in charge of flushing out the requirements, testing, and releasing the software. The vision for the company changes day to day so it is a high-paced environment that keeps you on your toes. Every other day there is a new feature a customer wants that is the top priority where everything must be dropped, or a new idea upper management has that will be the next big thing. Be sure to be flexible with any process that you may create. It will surely change, or be replaced with a new one. As an employee you will have direct contact with upper management which doesn't have a specific process for requests. Sometimes it will come from your boss, or you will be asked what you are working on, what the status is, and maybe even given a task to complete directly from the CEO himself. The executive management style is one of micromanagement. Work might be completed, but perception is more important. Make sure you are in your chair, as the cameras are watching you. Your coworkers will be asked what you are working on. And if you don't agree with a process, or decision made, your coworkers will be asked for their opinion till one is found that matches executive management to validate their decisions. It gives the overall feeling of a complete lack of trust of the employees.

Pros

I've been with the company for several years now and feel like I've been given a huge opportunity in developing my career. I owe Troy and many members of the management team at bC a debt of gratitude for giving me this opportunity and experience. If you work hard, stay honest and sincere, you are guaranteed to succeed at benefitsCONNECT.

Cons

It's frustrating to see some of these reviews - I don't understand how people can have such a huge misinterpretation of bC. It's too bad Glassdoor gives the option to be anonymous - I somehow doubt there would be a third of these reviews if people didn't have something to hide behind.

Pros

benefitsCONNECT has the energy of a start-up with the experience of a seasoned company. The atmosphere allows employees to take ownership and leadership within their role. What I love about this organization is the room for advancement and growth. Promotions and new opportunities are awarded from within the organization. If you want more responsibility or a new role, the transition is easy and welcomed with open arms. The employer healthcare industry is thriving and as a technology vendor, benefitsCONNECT is at the epicenter of it all. The fully-stocked kitchen is such a nice and generous perk! We can connect with employees and make breakfast, lunch or a quick snack. We have monthly activities for team-building and corporate events for holidays and birthdays! Employees can work out during lunch breaks (with their gym membership benefit) and stay in our workout clothes. The culture promotes healthy lifestyles and the importance of working out to maintain positive attitudes and strong mental health. The CEO is the biggest advocate for employee well-being and leads the charge for our wellness initiatives. He is experienced, talented and kind. He is a true leader and visionary. He is firm when he has to be - but always fair.

Cons

A fast growing company will encounter challenges. benefitsCONNECT is growing and needs strong, resilient and talented players along for the ride. A con is that we are outgrowing our current procedures, but the good news is that our leadership is working to enhance these processes for the benefit of our clients and employees.
