      Hired to help usher in new ideas around Site Reliability but was quickly shut down. First off, they don't have a clue how to go about a digital transformation in order to achieve site reliability. They still do a lot of server configurations manually.       Advice to Management

      Bring in new manager who has a focus on a true digital transformation. Quit allowing managers to stifle innovation simply because you are "dunnhumbified". Listen to engineers who have worked in the DevOps space and understand what it takes to undergo a true digital transformation. Enlist Agile methodology for your operations team. Hire a true project manager. Treat the engineers like engineers. Provide them with the...
