Pros

Great benefits with excellent health care coverage and training opportunities. Liberal time off benefits. Good accessibility to senior leadership team with timely response to issues. Very Successful in sales of equipment.

Cons

Overall leadership is stagnate with limited openness to moving forward with improved tools, processes and procedures identified by newer employers. Heavy good old boy network with leaders operating within a closed network preventing advancement and improved leadership. Very much stuff in the "replace people" rather than develop talent already on board outside of the network.

Advice to Management

Step outside your box, operate like a large company and leave the network behind. Move forward with a true managed client environment.

    Pros

    Access to larger customer base and projects was a plus. As a large reseller, had regular access to vendor resources and account teams.

    Cons

    Work experience seemed to vary by regional manager, seemed upper management was mostly interested in cost containment. Employee development did not seem to be a focus.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your people, they take care of your customers.

    I worked at ePlus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Support from ePlus Corporate is great, I wished I'd had the opportunity to work with the NoCal folks that are rock stars! They are a truly inspiring team!

    Cons

    Engineers are constantly in training, however there is too much reliance on relationship selling only. There is no clearly defined sales methodology, and front line management is weak (in experience and in being able to offer senior level advice or coaching.)

    Advice to Management

    When putting in place 'ALL" layers of sales management, ask them what their game plan is for opportunity creation, and enterprise account management. Set realistic sales quotas, not quotas set by accountants. Interview salespeople regularly, ask them for anonymous feedback on what they like/dislike about the current position before assuming you know the answers.
