I worked at francesca's full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Boutiques are cute and trendy

Cons

Pay structure is horrible, intense micromanaging by Operations leaders, catty Jr. High like environment. Professionals from HR, Accounting, IT, etc. will hate it.

Advice to Management

Pay better so you can target sharp, energetic young people as your p-t sales associates as well well more mature grown women who could offer ideas and a good work ethic as they focus on this as a career and not just a temporary job.

    I worked at francesca's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -50% discount for managers
    -visual merchandising freedom
-relative freedom in hiring team members
-opportunities to help open new locations
    -decent pay
-bonus structure was excellent, if your store could meet, or exceed plan

    Cons

-loss prevention is non-existent, and manager suggestions are not heard
-managers are expected to create monthly events to drive sales without any budget for marketing, etc
-little productive contact with district and regional managers
-overuse of conference calls that were supposed to remedy sales situations, etc but were merely chit-chat and a waste of time
-felt much like a sorority, not a business
-when understaffed, district manager provided little to no assistance in coverage or recruiting

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your people. If 3 managers with "great potential" leave your company in a 1 month period....you are doing something very wrong.
Many of your fresh hires have great ideas that should make it to the Corporate Office, but they get lost in the cattiness and vapid conversations, and find employment elsewhere.
Listen to a new managers requests....they see the store with fresh eyes and can improve a store with help
Customers hate the new sizing and quality of the merchandise.
