I have been working at marcus evans full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Working in a competitive environment with great people. Made great friends from all over the world. Great job to take in a foreign country.

Cons

Very little pay for effort at the start. Hard to see the connection between effort and reward but it eventually comes.

    Pros

    Young crowd. Unlimited earning (if u r lucky & more than exceptional in sales)

    Cons

    Ergonomics-probably worst ever in a developed country.
    Revolving door environment.
    You are just any employee. No value.

    Advice to Management

    Resign!!

    I worked at marcus evans full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Learn to take on large amounts of responsibility
    Acquire comprehensive project management skills
    The younger non-management people there are friendly and supportive

    Cons

    The turnover rate is ridiculously high
    It is a poor business model as it is focused on short-term benefits and has no sustainable long-term strategy
    There is no talent retention strategy in place as there is no value placed in the talent by management
    Employees are not respected, encouraged, or motivated by management; they are made to understand that they are disposable
    The amount of stress and pressure is disproportionate to what you should expect from this job
    The pay is incredibly low and given the profit margins of the events it is clear that all benefits are given to the top people
    It seems that quantity and not quality is the watchword of the day
    Suggestions for improvement of products, etc., are not welcomed

    Advice to Management

    TRespect your customer and respect your employees. People will be more motivated to stay and develop if they feel valued, are adequately remunerated, and know that there is a strong support system behind them.
