I worked at thyssenkrupp full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Stable, secure job with good business growth.

Cons

European plant manager ran the facility with a 'good ol boys' mentality. Did not promote based on experience or education level, but rather if he liked you personally or not. Also, you had to be male without a family at home because he believed that you would spend more time at work. He likes young inexperienced boys to promote as managers because they would be "yes" people.

Advice to Management

Promotions should be based on education and experience not because your from some European country or because the boys do not have a wife and kids at home. Advancement should be based on education and experience. Those people tend to make good business decisions.
