Pros
I started working with ttcInnovations as a freelance contractor and only a few months into that role, they offered me a part-time position. Our Founder and CEO, Debbie Wooldridge, wrote a book on intrapreneurship, and I would have to say, ttcInnovations carries that concept out very well. I have been given all the necessary tools and resources to do my job well, and have had the opportunity to work closely with the Marketing Team for added support. We are encouraged to #UnlockInnovation by thinking big, proposing fresh ideas, and generating efficient systems. From the onset, I quickly learned how the team is very much like family, making the company culture one that is warm and fun, yet professional. As a virtual company, distance does not hinder team unity and rapport. Senior Management really strives to bridge that gap in more ways than one, overall supporting a healthy work, life balance, and all the people I have worked closely with are eager to see the success for everyone. I would highly recommend ttcInnovations to anyone seeking to further their skills and contribute to a loyal and reputable company within the learning and development industry!
Cons
This isn't necessarily a "con" for me (it's most definitely a perk!), but I know working on a virtual team can be a challenge or an adjustment for some. Just know that this team really does put so much effort into bringing everyone together, across time zones and distances. We are given necessary tools and resources for success, and have access to a company wide chat to reach anyone during business hours. To be candid, I've never felt like I've been alone "on an island" - if anything, it's been the opposite.
