I have been working at Employsure part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Amazing colleagues who you can learn a lot from - Five minutes walk from Haymarket - Team parties - Good organisational structure where you can ask anybody for help

    Cons

    - You must be a person who is willing to learn as it can be a lot to take in - Need to get used to the sales aspect of business and be able to know how to ‘sell’ yourself

I have been working at Employsure full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great team, everyone is very friendly and eager to help. The company is pretty transparent and open for its size and spread. Great perks for field staff, such as company car for personal use and plenty of other benefits after 2 years of service.

    Cons

The amount of travel time is quite significant, as a field consultant I spend about 50% of work time on business trips, however, the maximum stay for me was 3 nights away and mostly it is one or two nights. So it's not for everyone.

    Pros

The list of benefits Employsure provide are endless: additional leave days, flexible working requests, ambassadors club for those who reach 2 years of service with the business, free breakfast, fun social activities, afternoon tea trolley, tuckshop, and much more! The company reward those that put in the hard yards and are dedicated to both their role and the success of the business. There's great career pathways... offered throughout the business.

    Pros

Focus on an inclusive and values based workplace culture from recruitment to promotions. Genuine hard work and dedication are recognised by management Employsure is a great place to work if you share the organisational values (which I do). Be prepared to work hard and to get honest feedback. If you have a drive to better yourself both professionally and personally then this is the place for you.

    Cons

Not really a con for me but expect to work hard and be flexible

    Advice to Management

I worked at Employsure full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free toast and cereal in the kitchen that can be eaten before 8:30am Role provides lots of basic training so good role for someone straight out of university who’s hungry to learn

    Cons

Salary for Advisors is very low with a very high workload creating a very stressful environment. Strict call centre environment, your day is timed and monitored by the second. Very high turnover due to resignations, hard to make relationships as many leave soon after starting. Quarterly reviews done by by your team leader who rates you and this determines if you make bonus or not. Unfortunately team leaders... have to give no reasoning for the marks they give you so if your team leader doesn’t like you in the slightest, you will never make bonus. Bullying and rude inappropriate comments is common. Regularly saw sale guys make inappropriate comments to women however when reported nothing happens if they bring in lots of money. The Talent Team (internal HR) direct their staff to keep writing 5 star reviews about the company to stamp out the truthful negative reviews.

    Advice to Management

Employsure had a lot of potential and you can still turn it around. Stop treating advisors as children to create a more collaborative environment. Hold people accountable if they act offensively or inappropriately in the workplace.

I have been working at Employsure full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I know from being in the meetings that the company cares a lot about culture and performance from its staff. It has created a system of benefits that are rewards for loyalty and performance, including showing the company values. There are some great perks in there, well beyond most employers in Australia.

    Cons

Hard work is the norm. The company wants people who believe passionately about what they are doing and therefore enjoy getting stuck into work.

    Advice to Management

Growing always has challenges, but keep focusing on your people and you will achieve the goal of helping small businesses across Australia and New Zealand.

    Pros

The free food. People generally put on weight though because they’re given all this free food and taking breaks to go for a walk is frowned upon.

    Cons

Lack of flexibility. Being treated as a number rather than a person. The environment is not collaborative. Its simply about churning out numbers.
