    Pros

Great compensation package, team environment, and opportunities for growth. Management really supports, plans for, and funds the safety function into company projects.

    Cons

I traveled extensively (300+ nights per year) in my position, which can be exciting, but is certainly not for everyone.

Great people to work with including most of management.
    Very good work life balance.
For most part cares about employees

    Cons

Outside of safety, tends to over engineer processes related to incidents regardless of seriousness of issue.
Has follow up consensus meetings for meetings discussing a change.
    Slow to Change

    Advice to Management

Encourage eliminating excessive meetings to just have meetings. Everything does not always need a meeting to accomplish a task.

    Pros

Medical, Dental, and Eye care insurance is very awesome.

    Cons

Enbridge has leaders that are not very thoughtful of the working man. They are not caring and understanding of their employees. The company has one option is to keep their employees running back and forth on the highway. The company leaders have set up a program with their supervisors. It's called a grade of high performer or low performers. They have no problem of looking of ways to run their employees off of this grading program. Don't bother working for this company; they look ways to get rid of you if your personality isn't like theirs.

    Advice to Management

A advice to the Enbridge Management: When you take away of the Christmas parties for your employees is very degrading towards them and their spouse. When your employees work like a dog for the company and gets looked over; by looking for ways of getting rid of employees on a grading period. Making accusations on a employee that he acts like his boss, and than fires him. I see fired people for their personalities instead of their work ethics. A very wise saying: When you are set up to fail, than you will not succeed. Enbridge has a reputation of picking leaders that don't belong in leader positions. Enbridge has a very large turn over in their company.

    Pros

A great company to work for if you're a yes person and able to keep your opinions to yourself; management team is awesome when you agree to whatever thing they say.

    Cons

Many unhappy campers stay working here because of the pay and benefit. Information is a tool that management use to make them believe they are higher-ranked and bureaucracy is a way to cover up management's incompetence and true intention. Management leadership style is everything is "glorious and great" as long as the cut back and layoffs doesn't fall on them.

    Advice to Management

Practice respect and integrity from the bottom of your heart. Communicate truth and fairness without partiality with the employees then Enbridge may stand a chance to win public's trust and respect. Let the managers be evaluated by their direct report every year so that top management knows what the true bottleneck is.

    Pros

Most non management people were good to work with, Company did not spare any expense when employee travels or had training, i.e. good meals and nice hotels

    Cons

Management not trust worthy, a lot of backstabbing in order to make themselves look better, appears to not care for the individual employee

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what is going on around yourself. You're put into that position for a reason do not become gullible to certain individuals

    Pros

Good company. Fair amount of PTO.

    Cons

You either fit the culture or you don't. You need to be able to get your point across in a very delicate way. There is no room for people that speak their mind. This is especially the case when trying to evaluate management. It seems that the higher a person gets, the more they must be Respected. Don't ever question their judgement.

    Advice to Management

Try to tone down the extremely conservative culture.
