    -Listen to your employees when they're not happy about something.
    -Follow up on promises for training
    -Engage your employees, they are a talented bunch and not being utilized.

    Pros

    Canadian company, so benefits are very good. Always trying to improve.

    Cons

    Becuase they are Canadian company, their tends to be a preferential treatment towards Canadian employees. Upper movement outside of the Calgary headquarters can be difficult, especially for those in the US, outside of the Denver location.
    IT leadership is lacking

    Everythings's a secret. Hard to see what the vision is of leadership.

    Advice to Management

    Be more open about plans, and stop random lay-offs of employees. Lay off the employees that don't do their jobs like others.

    Pros

    Pay is probably lower than the industry but the benefits are above average. First and third Fridays off, generous vacation, and bonuses were normally very generous.

    Cons

    Since benefits and bonuses are generous the pay is lower than industry average and raises were not frequent but this also had to do with the downturn in the industry. Because of the work/life balance people are reluctant to leave so there are not many spots available for career advancement.

    Great collegues, great work-life balance (1st & 3rd Fridays off), great benefits and bonus

    Cons

    Very poor salary (no raises in 3 years), very hard to advance within the company
