Good Company to Start Your Career in the Analyst Role

    Pros

Kind, supportive people. Welcoming environment. Culture is FUN! You'll learn a lot about the distribution industry, food and beverage distributors in particular. Would recommend for someone looking to get their foot in the door in the software/tech industry or just out of college.

    Cons

As an anaylst you are using technical problem solving skills, however, it feels more like a call center than anything. You'll be answering phones and emails and submitting tasks from those calls/emails. Think customer support. That's basically the role. Reach out for more responsibility and they will give it to you. 2 week travel minimum each quarter, downside if you have a family/don't like to be away for 14 days at a time. Also, they don't pay much for an analyst role in a competitive industry in a state like Colorado. Don't expect to make much here unless you want to travel all the time (travel compensation)

Good place to build experience right out college

    Pros

Fast-paced work environment that challenges you to be your best. Lots of room for taking on new responsibilities and new roles.

    Cons

Management was not supported by executive team to run teams effectively. The constant room for growth is partially related to the company's growth but also related to a high turn over. People stay long enough to get experience on their resume and then move on.

    Misleading.

    Pros

I have many dedicated, highly intelligent colleagues.

    Cons

Employees are made to be believe they should just work harder when the reality is effective training and resources are grossly lacking, middle-managers are often rude and lack leadership training. Customers are made to believe they are the problem when in reality decisions about the software are made in haste and upgrades lead to issues resulting in monthly surges in support calls. And, Leadership and hiring managers talk a lot about being inclusive when the reality is there is an environment of perversion and hostility alive and well.

    Too many bosses.. No help...

    Pros

Cool Office & Great Location. Free Beer. Co Workers are pretty nice.

    Cons

Promote people that know software but have no business managing people. Corporate philosophy is use the team and figure it out, but no one really wants to teach you. Software updates are always broken and don't even get me started with Distribution Reports that don't work. In the end, I feel bad for customers they wait and wait for answers and no one has answers.

    Great Starter position

    Pros

Strong amount of autonomy. They really look for and reward people who are go getters. If you're looking for a challenging, face-paced work environment that asks a lot of you this company is for you. You can build a lot of experience quickly. There's also a strong drinking culture here.

    Cons

Upper management was often not on a common track with each other. Software releases were at such a pace that proper planning, vetting, and testing were done during release. This means that phone support was heavily burdened during releases. Developers must split time between phone support and developing on a daily basis.
