I worked at Endeavor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

After three years of working at Endeavor I recently left to pursue an MBA. I loved my time at the organization and walked into the office everyday filled with purpose and enthusiasm for our work. A few highlights:

    1) Culture & Team - The team (both in NYC and across the world) is filled with the smartest, most ambitious, fun-loving people I imagine I will ever have the privilege of working with. I consider many of my former coworkers life-long friends.

    2) Exposure & career growth - I started as an Associate at Endeavor with three years of prior work experience. Endeavor very quickly exposed me to a variety of skills -- managing others, communicating with high-level stakeholders, dissecting business models -- that were critical to my professional growth.

    3) Network - Endeavor is in the business of building close relationships with leading innovators in the most exciting growth markets around the world. Having access to this network was an incredible asset for me, and helped me identify where I hope to go next in my career.

    Cons

Endeavor practices what it preaches by thinking BIG and growing FAST -- which means things are constantly changing. What I found most challenging at Endeavor was how often my role was evolving and how frequently the organization was being restructured to accommodate growth. While this is exciting and offers great opportunity, I don't think the organization is a great fit for someone who is not willing to be exceedingly agile and adaptive.

    Pros

Amazing work culture and great environment to be in. Lots of like-minded, intelligent and worldly people who are genuinely interested in their field. Endeavor is a collaborative place and ideal 'first job' kind of company: consulting background of management helps develop efficiency and work discipline while office culture leaves freedom for taking bold initiatives.

    Cons

Internship unpaid and no benefits for interns. Work hours are long and overtime will be very likely. Most likely to be working on one project during the entire duration of internship.

    Advice to Management

Make a point to interact more with interns or newcomers. Would be beneficial if one of the senior management people could have introduced themselves during an induction.

    Pros

Other interns are great people. Interning here will give you a lot of great experience.

    Cons

Not everyone is friendly. It seems like people appreciate the way you look more than what you can bring to the table

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Endeavor full-time

    Pros

    - Unique model to support entrepreneurs and catalyze development and job creation
    - Travel perks
    - Great work/life balance
    - Wonderful, experienced and dynamic staff members for the most part
    - Opportunity to work with amazing and interesting entrepreneurs and business leaders

    Cons

    - Management is tuned out and resistant to feedback, often traveling and absent from the office
    - CEO is disconnected and does not have priorities that reflect the organization's best interest
    - Lack of clear career path and opportunity to growth
    - Not enough time spent towards really thinking about employee retention strategies, leading to a revolving door and loss of potential talent
    - Lack of consideration towards maintaining systems or structures that could prevent a 'reinventing-the-wheel' type situation with much of the work

    Advice to Management

Take some time to listen to feedback and try harder to show that you're as interested in the organization as you expect employees to be.
