I worked at Endeca Technologies (More than a year)

    Pros

Best job I ever had, fabulous technology, well-managed, some of the smartest and nicest people I ever met

    Cons

Purchased by Oracle. Not a complaint but it's a very different place and needs to be evaluated separately.

    Advice to Management

    Great Job!

    Pros

Innovative technology that works well and happy customers. Fair benefits and compensation. Entrepreneurial spirit and customer focused. Well run services organization. Senior executive vision focused on the right targets. Market driven. Partner oriented.

    Cons

Competitors may be starting to close the gap. Impatient management sprinkled with some unrealistic expectations. Weak marketing, but getting better. Brought in some old school players that may need to update their playbooks.

    Advice to Management

Maintain the positive aspects of the culture and protect the reputation of the company as vigorously as the innovation in the product. Go hire a marketing genius so that Endeca doesn't get lost the sea of high tech jargon.
