    I worked at Endicia full-time

    Pros

Great team, work environment & work/life balance.

    Cons

Management, especially new management after the Stamps.com acqusition and current employees merely satisfied with the status quo. This company lost its soul.

I worked at Endicia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Endicia WAS a great place to work before Stamps.com acquisition. Of the remaining Endicia-originals, most are great. However, avoid Sales; poor leadership and unattainable goals.

    Cons

Stamps killed Endicia culture. A lot of good, smart people left. Including the founder. To be clear, there is no more Endicia, Stamps.com and Endicia are the same company and Stamps is running the show.

    Pros

Great work environment for people lucky enough to work here.

    Cons

No room for growth if you are contracted.

    Pros

Despite the recent shift in owner, the employees at endicia still create a great culture to work in.

    Cons

Some of the products produce are pretty out dated, and either some major changes will need to happen or it may be difficult for the company to grow

    Pros

The leadership at Endicia is wonderful as well as the rest of the people working there. People enjoy their work and do not take it too seriously. I was able to work with a lot of different people and different teams so I learned a lot.

    Cons

The company has been shrinking since the ownership change.

I have been working at Endicia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-relaxed work environment, flexible hours, and work from home opportunties that *were* part of the endicia culture that resulted in high productivity
    -friendly people
    -fun work environment
    -innovative company

    Cons

-endicia culture is being replaced by a controlling Stamps.com culture (new owner)
-endicia appears to be in its final death throes

    -cons for Stamps.com:
-adheres to hierarchy - small company with a big company mentallity (don't talk to upper management, know your place and stick to it).
      - rigid management style = low productivity per capita
      - does not fit silicon valley culture = low productivity per capita
      - not an innovative company
      - cutlure and work environment dominated by a few "personalities"
      - no regard for work/life balance of their employees.. you are their slave.

    Advice to Management

i do not wake up in the morning and look forward to going to work for stamps.com. just let it end already

    Pros

I am in awe of the inspiration and intelligence of Endicia's founders.
Work was _relatively_ good and grew throughout the recession.

    Cons

As the economy got better, Endicia was acquired by Stamps.com.

As was said during a meeting, the acquisition was like getting married first and then afterward starting to date afterward to start to get to know each other.

You don't offer references or letters of recommendation for terminated employees!

The pre-Stamps Endicia regime was not ambitious enough. It's now a mute point.

Mid management and directors practiced "push back". It got so bad that even fellow employees in the same group adopted this counter-productive "push back"! Unfortunately, there was no way for rank-and-file employees to share their concerns and information beyond the director level. The directors heavily filtered these core problems in their reports above them.

Director totally ignored employees self-appraisal form, just to rant and rave.

    Advice to Management

You really need to sing this at the next Holiday Party:

Bye-bye Endicia Pie! Took my Chevy to the levy, but the levy was dry...

    Pros

Friday lunch, learn basics of Windows and Mac OS

    Cons

Purchased by stamps.com and is now micromanaged. The fun culture is now gone and has been replaced by a production environment.

    Advice to Management

Bring back the culture that made Endicia a fun place to work at.

I worked at Endicia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It WAS a great place to work until Stamps acquired Endicia. The people were great and leadership from the executive team was excellent. But leadership has gone over to Stamps and when it comes to Endicia they don't really care about the employees.

    Cons

Stamp doesn't care about their employees (especially Endicia employees) and they don't seem to care about their existing customers either.

There was a reason Stamps bought Endicia... because it was a large competitor and was doing well. Instead of working with Endicia to figure out how both companies and excel together Stamps is slowly taking Endicia apart. They laid off a lot of people. Those who have not be laid off are looking for other jobs because there is clearly no future here.

    Advice to Management

Endicia Management - despite the fact that you no longer have much power try to keep the employees you have motivated.
