I worked at Endo Pharmaceuticals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had a great district manager. Thanks Michael. I like the small company atmosphere. Was not there long enough To give good insight on the company.

    Cons

I was hired in October 2016. I have 25 years in the business and was having a hard time finding a company that would match my salary. I was pleased to get my past salary plus I thousand dollars. The shop came when 10 weeks into the job, they laid off the entire division I worked for. ( 450 people). A company should not be hiring if layoffs or a possibility in the near future. Very poor planning. I work for for pharmaceutical companies in 25 years and ENDO, by far have the worst training department. One egomaniac did the whole training program.

    Advice to Management

A little foresight. Hiring 60 or 70 reps three months prior to laying them off is not only poor planning, but quite cruel.

I worked at Endo Pharmaceuticals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The PTO package was okay. Compensation was good, not great. The cafeteria in the Atwater site is amazing. The actually location is nice...

    Cons

The biggest thing was the managers tended to argue back and forth and let ego get in the way of actually accomplishing anything. The also support the hiring of friends rather than qualified people. Also management will pretty much tell you anything to lead you on. They also are going through a lot of layoffs.

    Advice to Management

If someone wants to just hire friends and can't keep their ego in check then you need to replace them. Please also stop telling things to your workers and not following through.

    Pros

    Mostly good district managers
    Great team members
    Competitive salary and benefits

    Cons

Limited products with limited indications and limited future life cycle
Poor managed care coverage for products with little effort for change
Poor product launches with unrealistic goals
    No real Pipeline
Abandoned the Pharma side and went in several other directions by purchasing other companies with no true focus

    Advice to Management

This company became a hot mess. I once enjoyed working for Endo but as management became focused on the stock price instead of the vision and the employees that made it great it became a great disappointment. People with drive and passion make a company great rather than the drive for profit becoming the only corporate pursuit. By 2009 it was becoming evident that the end of Endo as we knew it was near under the direction of the then CEO and things didn't get better in subsequent years. Dedicated employees at all levels were thrown under the bus and treated like yesterday's garbage. It's an unfortunate and shameful reality of the industry but it is a corporate choice.

I have been working at Endo Pharmaceuticals (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Not sure there are any now. What was a decent, albeit slightly struggling company is being shot through the toilet by Campanelli. DeSilva made the first bad decision by acquiring Par and allowing them to take over Qualitest and it has been downhill from there.
Pay and benefits are a pro. No credit to Campanelli.

    Cons

Endo/Par is not a customer or employee centric organization. There is absolutely NO job security and it is just not a very good place to work. People who have vested years into the place, do not want to be here anymore.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees as if they hold value, instead of as if they are widgets.
