I have been working at Endurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I love working as a customer service representative because I get to speak to new people all day and help them find the policies that are right for them. I like that we're encouraged to be upfront and honest and provide comprehensive information to customers so they can make informed decisions. Not many companies would tell you to be clear about policy limitations, but Endurance wants to make sure customers have all the info upfront so they aren't surprised or disappointed later on.

    Cons

The call volume is high, so I guess it would be nice to have a few more customer service reps.

    Advice to Management

    Maybe open new positions.

I have been working at Endurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working in claims can be hard, what with customers calling in upset because their cars aren't working. Many expect claims to be denied automatically, which blows my mind. Anyway, it can get a bit rough, but the support system here has been great. We all work hard to process claims quickly and everyone pitches in to help if you hit a snag. I find that customers are often surprised and comment on how fast we deliver results and how nice we are. The management makes it clear that this level of customer service is expected, and I love working with such a great team.

    Cons

    Tough calls and love it

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

    Casual dress code that's it

    Cons

Pay isn't worth the guilt of scamming people on the phone. The rules change weekly if not daily in the CS department. They make us call people who leave bad reviews to see if we can change their mind. More calls than anyone can handle. Tries to make you feel bad for taking a lunch break.

    Advice to Management

scrap everything and start over in CS

I have been working at Endurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The thing I've enjoyed most about working at Endurance is the support. Customers call in with a lot of questions, and we are given access to a huge amount of information so we can answer anything, even specific questions about what is covered in different plans. I didn't know any of this stuff before hire. I've never done any work in the auto industry. Being prepared and having tools makes me feel confident about my ability to help customers and keep them satisfied.

    Cons

I hear some complaints about the parking, but I use public transit, so not a problem for me.

    Advice to Management

No advice, thanks for the support!

I worked at Endurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The Pros to this company is staying in the Sales department. Any management role is a different story.

    Cons

The compensation structure does not match the responsibilities of the role.
Management lacks communication and can be dis-functional.
There are no boundaries as far as role restrictions.
I would be ordering office supplies and doing on-boarding paperwork one minute, then going out to get my bosses Tobacco the next.

    Advice to Management

Work on communication and organization skills as a unit.

I have been working at Endurance full-time

    Pros

I recently joined the sales team and so far I'm really happy with the company and my position. What interested me most was the fact that it's direct sales - no playing the middleman. In my opinion, this is a big selling point for customers. Also, they stress up front that they're big on customer service, and that is something you don't find in very many sales jobs. Usually they're all about the quotas. Not that you don't have to work hard to sell, but the training was great and they start you off with plenty of leads like people looking for quotes. The job isn't easy, no sales job is, but Endurance gives employees a lot of support. That's a major plus in my book.

    Cons

I was worried about commissioned salary, but it's in addition to base salary so it's not like you're working for free.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing
