    Pros

Good benefits; perks like snacks and free soda which is rare. People at the working levels want to get the right job done.

    Cons

Way too much negative politics which affects productivity. People are quick to blame others and slow to solve problems. Ongoing turnover and transition has people paralyzed.

    Advice to Management

Have a consistent message and follow through.

I worked at Endurance Specialty as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free food, relaxed atmospher, young staff.

    Cons

No accountability. The definition of who you know, not what you know or how you do your job. Halo effect.

    Advice to Management

Bring in a Mercer type company and find out what is wrong. Also, stop with all the late night ball throwing and antics. Ridiculous.

    Pros

Nice benefits package, more or less nice office space (White Plains), easy car commute. Some nice collegues.

    Cons

Management doesn't know what happens down below. No appreciation for hard work. Long working hours. Very hard to get promotions and raises. No real career advancement. You need to turn the world over in order to get "meet expectations" for your yearly review. No additional professional training after asking manager numerous times. Managers playing favorites.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what employees on the lowest level say about the company. Don't rely purely on the annual surveys and their interpretations by the hired company. Ask employees what they think of their immediate managers and take actions.
