    Pros

Discounted product, decent work life balance IF you have the right manager.

    Cons

Beware of those that are only in it for themselves. During my 15+ years there I witnessed many people unjustly discharged for not "drinking the "Kool Aid." If someone in upper management has a problem with you personally there is no chance for a future there. HR will pretend to listen but will never go to bat for you regardless of the circumstances.

    Advice to Management

Enforce a true open door policy. Not just something that looks good in writing , but not practiced. Recognize that regardless of the fact that someone is in a leadership position doesn't mean they won't treat their direct reports unfairly.

Replace the current Sr. Leadership and to get some new ideas and innovations

I have been working at Energizer Holdings full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They hold a lot of sway in the industry.

    Cons

Pretty convoluted even for a large organization - keeps efficiency down. Other than free batteries at Christmas time the perks are pretty nonexistent.

I worked at Energizer Holdings full-time

    Pros

The company is taking all of the Pros away.

    Cons

I worked for this company for 39 years 2 months and 10 days. For the first 8 years I was a machine operator. For the next 30 years I was in quality control. The last 1.5 years they changed my job to Technical Operator which included changing gaylords, starting and stopping machines, keeping machines running, driving a tow motor, dumping and weighing out parts and getting skids ready for shipping, quality control on parts, and grinding scrap material. This is too much for one person to do. Let alone a 61 year old. Also in the process of the past 8 years the companies benefits have deteriorated and all they want is temporary help. I was harassed but I refused to let them make me quit. They fired me for saying hell but it was okay for my boss to say God dammit to me. They are trying to push the full time older employees out and only hire temps. Obviously when I told unemployment how I was treated I was proved right when they reviewed my case and granted me unemployment for being unjustly terminated.

    Advice to Management

Quit trying to FORCE the employees that have worked there for decades out the door just so you can replace them with temporary help. Appreciate all of the years they have dedicated their lives to your company. Instead of punishing them and getting of them with any means you feel like you can.

I worked at Energizer Holdings (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are generally very nice...but like anywhere there are those you can't trust.

    Cons

Current management is out of touch. Goal is to eliminate colleagues over the age of 50. Not a good culture to work.

    Advice to Management

Respect the past, while you great a new future. Older colleagues will help you achieve your goals if you let them. Don't try and be like P&G, it will get you know where.

    Pros

Wonderful people, learning and development culture, very flexible re working from home, etc.

    Cons

Currently in transition. Not sure if the great people will remain and if the culture will survive.

    Advice to Management

Become more involved with mid level to upper mid level leaders do you are getting the real scoop on things all the time. Info filtered through more senior leaders is often not very accurate.
