    I worked at Energy Coordinating full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The company is very forward-thinking and really offers someone the chance to participate fully. Everyone is very nice and the culture is such that you are not afraid to take a chance and make a mistake. The integrity of the staff is beyond reproach and the trust and honesty was so energizing.

    Cons

    Working in non-profit environment is challenging due to the constant budgetary constraints which limits income potential.

    Advice to Management

    A little more balance is needed between the non-profit cash flow and the for profit cash flow.

    Pros

    The training was exceptional...Working here allowed me to grow and develop within ECA...I had great experience working here this job taught me a lot about leadership.

    Cons

    Work and life balance was good and benefits and promotions were unlikely small company not much room to grow.

    I worked at Energy Coordinating full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Leadership and most of the staff had a genuine and admirable commitment to the non-profit mission of energy efficiency and promotion of "energy equality" to the benefit of those who are economically disadvantaged. Pleasant, convivial, generally non-demanding work environment. Nice balance of work-life.

    Cons

    Typical of non-profits, Comp levels are below market, up and down the line. Subsequently, staff caliber is low in some regards. Passion of senior leadership is not carried through line level staff and this causes periodic disconnects between vision and reality - source of frustration among much of the staff.
