I worked at Energy Enterprise Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Promotes from within
    - Decent bonuses
    - sponsors for gov't clearance

    Cons

I saw some really good people leave while I was there. Maybe work on retaining those WORTH retaining.

    Advice to Management

Maybe work on keeping your Tier 1's happy (and trained)

I have been working at Energy Enterprise Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Sharp down the hall dispatches the drivers. Their great people Sharp and Nate.

    Cons

They hire good people who know their jobs, then use them to get what they need from them. Until management feels they have gotten all their contact and what they can use to to hire someone much cheaper,Then they lower their wages to unexceptionable rate so they have leave. They hire consultants to bully and push the employees around so management does not have to do their own dirty work. They use their employees, students , clients to pad their own pockets with cash.Owners do things behind employees backs, talk about employees behind their backs to other employees knowing you can hear. They make it be a very hostile unprofessional work environment. They consider the dollar more important than employees or clients or human well being.

    Advice to Management

stop talking politics in the office not everyone feels the way you do. Start looking at the well being of your students , clients and employees doing business for the right reasons will take you a lot further than chasing the $$$$ your way of business has failed you so far. Good Customer service is the key and you have no clue what that is.

I worked at Energy Enterprise Solutions (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of different projects to work on, great experience working with different agencies, reimbursement for certifications and training

    Cons

Contract transactions and riskiness might seem unstable to some people who are not accustomed to government contracting work.

I worked at Energy Enterprise Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The majority of people in the organization are nice and professional. Some flexibility is allowed. There are 3-4 company events each year. Compensation and benefits are ok/good.

    Cons

A rather political work environment, but it's a government contractor in the DC metro area so I guess that's a given. Better drive your own development! Opportunities for advancement are few. Unable or unwilling to deal appropriately with conflict.

I have been working at Energy Enterprise Solutions full-time

    Pros

They provide a job and a regular paycheck.

    Cons

When I was hired I was told verbally, and provided in writing, of all these "benefits" I would receive. However, after being hired I was told there was no budget left for training or travel with management's apologies and regrets. Yet, strangely, just recently the male employees in my department were sent on training and travel. Therefore, with travel and training approved for the male employees, I went ahead and applied for a job role specific training, oddly I was denied, without any explanation.

Plainly, this is a job, but, if you are a female, have excellent skills and a drive to advance your career, you do not want to make the mistake of working for this company. They do provide opportunities for males, but not for females - and unfortunately I am not the only female that has had to endure this treatment on a consistent basis.

    Pros

Stable as it is the prime contractor for a major federal agency. Management changes hands and company name every 5-10 years.

    Cons

Limited advancement opportunities. Recently trimming back of benefits package. No or absolutely last minute information about hugely important actions like renewing health insurance or transit benefits.
