    I have been working at Engility full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Positive, respectful work culture with a lot of Subject Matter Expertise. Senior management is very engaged with day to day.

    Cons

    A lot of churn. This makes it difficult to maintain domain knowledge and continuity. Makes it difficult to be attached to workplace when people change a lot.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up initiatives to instill a positive work culture.

    I worked at Engility full-time

    Pros

    Great visibility into government level systems engineering, working with the customer can be rewarding, opportunity to get in on a program at the early requirement stages.

    Cons

    Work can be tedious at times, some customers do not understand the different between SE&I and SETA work, technical work can be very minimal at times, lots of paperwork, the SE&I team is very lean and understaffed.

    I have been working at Engility full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    This place has a lot of potential; it could be, should be, the best place in town to work. However, Engility cannot get out of its own way; it uses customer satisfaction as a barometer of performance. Well, what happens when contracts are lost or trust erodes between client and contractor? Engility has nothing to fall back upon to recover -- see the "cons" list.

    Cons

    * No sick time
    * Slow PTO accrual rate
    * Working with military retirees who are stuck in 1980s systems engineering methods and mindsets
    * No leaders, just managers
    * Hypocrisy of management (from front line up to C-suite) saying they want their employees to be innovative and when they are, management doesn't support it
    * Cannot earn a promotion without BD... but non-engineers hog all the BD opportunities
    * Archaic IT support and policies
    * HR rather than talent-driven business processes
    * Group-think passes as team work at Engility

    Advice to Management

    Stop hiring retired military officers... run the place like it's a high performing commercial organization rather than an Air Force squadron.
    When an employee has an improvement idea, don't blow them off. LISTEN to them.

    I have been working at Engility part-time

    Pros

    The only one I can think of is that they pay on time, which is what any responsible company should do anyway.

    Cons

    Endless list.
    - Bait & Switch. They rope you in as a full-timer and offer you all kinds of benefits, only to have the Program Manager scale you back to part time with NO BENEFITS
    - International Travel is on YOUR OWN TIME, NOT THEIRS!
    - Pay Not Commensurate with Experience/Education
    - No Hazard Pay for countries where it is mandated for direct hires.

    Advice to Management

    Can't wait to find another job and shake the dust off my sandals as I walk away from this outfit!
