I have been working at Engility full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Engility has been a very good company to work for and hopefully should get even better as it mergers with SAIC in 2019.

    Cons

I have nothing negative to say about Engility.

    Advice to Management

Little contracts are just as important as big ones, employees want to stay employed.

    I worked at Engility full-time

    Pros

There are good people at Engility, make sure those are the ones you are working with. From my experience, over a decade doing contract Intel work for for the 3-letter agencies in the NCR, Engility is average when it comes to salary, benefits and overall as an employer.

    Cons

Engility did not care about me as a person with mental health issues. Management lied about objectives for performance expectations and created a hostile work environment through public shaming in front of peers and customers. Senior Management promotes leadership styles using emotional manipulation to improve performance.

    Advice to Management

Try a more straightforward and honest approach.

I have been working at Engility full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Creative projects and plenty locations.

    Cons

Management doesn't have your best interest. They are out for themselves. You deliver quality work ahead of schedule and still don't receive a regular annual increase.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to acknowledge and show appreciation for your staff.

I have been working at Engility full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good people to work, camaraderie at the business unit level
Great executive at business unit who takes care if his people, and when contracts end, works hard to place staff on other contracts, to preserve company investment in their clearances, training, domain and subject matter expertise, etc., unlike other business units at Engility, that riffs the staff when a contract is lost.

    Cons

CEO didn’t make much of an effort to get around and meet the employees regardless of whether located in the same location, or offsite.
Corporate office staffed with overpaid CEO cronies
Lack of imagination and innovation - Corporate focused on need to sell versus developing solution that fills the governments requirements
Corporate acquisition transition and integration effort focused on saving the C-suite and friends
Not a good place to be during acquisition activities, staff skittish and ready to walk

    Advice to Management

Remember the employees who helped build the business
Look beyond Corporate and management, take care of the worker bees who made the company successful, including the OH folks, before the they leave and take their expertise to another company, who will appreciate them.

I have been working at Engility full-time

    Pros

The salary is good. They send out surveys and seem to really listen to the employees and make small changes. They seem to really hire from within the company if you apply for another position.

    Cons

I don’t know about corporate but on contract they put people in positions they are not qualified for.

The medical benefits are sky high with high deductibles.
