    Pros

They provide employment if you really need a job. If you like to travel, you will - about 50% of the time. However, be prepared to front the travel expenses and wait a month to be reimbursed. You will learn how government contractors operate, and gain valuable experience in the pecking order - contractors are on the bottom of the list.

    Cons

Company leaders are unprofessional, uneducated, and totally unskilled in employee management. The employee benefits are laughable- in three years, the company has contributed $317 total to my 401K, and I'm not even vested in it for 5 years. Employees are regularly used, abused, and lied to.

    Advice to Management

Recognize that the strength of a company lies in its employees - their skills, their knowledge, their willingness to do whatever it takes to accomplish the mission.

    Pros

if its close to where you live, the commute would be short.

    Cons

Very toxic work environment, pay is horrible for the amount of stress.

    Advice to Management

Pay more money and provide better benefits and you may have a more competent workforce.

    Pros

Family run, very professional business. Many great people with the right values. They do take care of their people and expect you to give back.

    Cons

Many projects running at the same time, you must be comfortable with multitasking and frequent changes in pace. Next deadline is around always the corner and expect to be busy to make it.

    Advice to Management

Time to update the company mission and get ready for the next decades.

I worked at Engineering & Professional Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Relaxed, friendly environment with an opportunity of doing whatever one is best at. Opportunity to meet a lot of people and practice Spanish! Caracas is a beautiful city with plentiful of things to do.

    Cons

Brutal hours. No schedule and a lot of travel. Sometimes traffic and airport services are pretty slow. One needs to plan ahead from anything to everything, Changing business circumstances, one almost never knows what the client wants and must be ready to change project scope on short, super short notice. Definitively not a job for impatient people.

    Advice to Management

Stay safe with the current political situation and good luck with PDVSA receivables.
