I have been working at Eni full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good location, great benefits. Generally a great group of fellow employees. Depending on your manager you can have a lot of flexibility in working hours.

    Cons

Difficult to be promoted because of rotating Italian management. Company deadlines are either strongly enforced or ignored - it makes for interesting scheduling.

I have been working at Eni full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive salary, modern office in a very good location, nine/eighty schedule is flexible and convenient, parking provided to full time employees.

    Cons

Less transparent HR than many competitors (especially regarding salary adjustments and promotions), very contractor heavy workforce leads to uncertainty in job security, lack of travel and training opportunities for those in affiliate locations like Houston.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more regarding salary and bonus structure and reasoning. Allow more affiliate and local personnel to travel and train for more career advancement.

I have been working at Eni full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The chance to travel the world, work on exciting projects, and experience new cultures.

    Cons

Working with outside contractors can be difficult if they don't adhere to ENI policies. Rules of conduct concerning on how to work with non-ENI entities are lacking.

    Advice to Management

They are several companies that are part of ENI. It would be nice to have a greater integration with all of those companies. It would make it easier to communicate across each of these companies.

I worked at Eni full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting environment. The company is a multi-national, a subsidiary of Eni, which is the former Agip - the Italian national oil company. As such the culture there is different from most American companies, the Italian culture bleeds through to this American subsidiary.

    Cons

Getting initiatives off the ground is very difficult. There is alot of wait and see. Often no one wants to be the decision maker.

    Advice to Management

Work to move initiatives forward into production.

I worked at Eni (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Once in place they have confidence in your ability. They treat consultants as part of the company. ie they gave us the same Christmas treat and company outings as the company employees. They shared their vision with all in townhall meetings, and the intramet . Friendly place to work. They are loyal to their people.

    Cons

I can not think of one except HR is byzantine, but by all accounts no more impenetrable than any other organisation that side.

    Advice to Management

I would come back if asked in heart beat! They are doing a better job than most. Would like you guys to start UK operations again!
