    Pros

Liberal vacation is all I can think of

    Cons

Minimal Regional support. Horrible executive director with tyrant personality.

    Advice to Management

Take time to spend in the buildings and see how management is running your business into the ground in some locations. Our community has horrible reputation do to staff turnover at some point someone needs to look at why staff cannot stay.

I have been working at Enlivant full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice people trying to make a difference

    Cons

This company is a bunch of liars. They state they bought out Assisted Living Concepts when indeed they are Assisted Living Concepts. They do not care about their residents or staff. All they are concerned about is their pocket.book. They refuse to listen st staff's input. Very good at pulling the will over everyone's eyes.

    Advice to Management

Start listening to your staff at the local level. They know more about your business than you are giving them credit for.

I have been working at Enlivant full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company is in growth mode, flexible hours, salaried but can earn overtime, business casual but people wear jeans most days, location, office events and vacation

    Cons

Company culture and the culture in support center do not match up; insurance is expensive; people are overworked (I work overtime every week just to keep up); systems are old and out of date; training is not working; company is top heavy

    Advice to Management

Do a better job of improving existing systems / upgrade, it affects our day to day
Work life balance for all, take care of your employees and you won't have a turnover problem
Update the internal website and include more resources / tools for employees: example, clearly define who is responsible for different aspects and how to contact them / department.
    More options for health insurance
Training process needs to be addressed. People who aren't correctly trained are training new hires and it makes for a lot of confusion

"Unethical and TERRIBLE company to work for"

I have been working at Enlivant full-time

    Pros

The only pros are satisfaction of working with the elderly, reimbursements are quick and its somewhat flexible (not so much for certain positions ie Nursing staff)

    Cons

Poor management in the North East Indiana Region, The upper management seems to care only about numbers. There are very unrealistic work expectations especially for the low pay they offer. Going down the street to the gas station that pays 10 dollars an hour to stand behind the cash register is more appealing as well as better pay than the majority of the jobs here. The reimbursements are quick mentioned as a pro is also a con as I feel like you should not have to purchase your own equipment and have to be reimbursed for it, there is no company credit card. They are very stingy with the things they buy and often complain about being over budget. They expect you to do your job in very little allotted time (37.5 hours a week) and often can't be accomplished in that time especially when they also ask you to do above and beyond your job description, but complain about your overtime when you go over even when short staffed. Especially in the dining department, Our building has 1 chef to prepare 3 meals a day for 39 residents, its nearly impossible to complete in so few hours. The budget is also only roughly 5 dollars a day per resident for food. Try feeding your own family on that. Overall there are NO resources and the managers don't know what they're doing. They also don't know how to lead and develop a team. The core values are "CHIEF" meaning Compassion, Humility, Integrity, Excellence and Fun. I will disprove all of these in examples. There have been people fired without warning and also people who were trying to do the right thing and give notice and they just let them go without letting them work notice because they had their replacement the same day they resigned. This shows lack of compassion. They act like we're expendable and that anyone can be replaced. They have moved people in and didn't tell them they couldn't put items in the hallways and corridors and then after the residents put their items there told them that they were ugly, or didn't go with the decor is a big failure of humility and also compassion. They constantly lie to get people moved in to make the numbers look good, even if the family can't afford the ridiculous prices. This is a failure of integrity. We need to be honest with people and continually do the right thing to make an impression. Lastly with fun, we were recently told as a group that the building needed to be ran like a fast food restaurant. That when we weren't busy doing our assigned job we needed to be cleaning and that we could talk on break or when we're not clocked in otherwise we needed to be doing our job. This is offensive for one because it makes us feel like we're not trusted to do our jobs, and also takes the fun out of work to just go in, do your job and go home. The regional team has asked several people to lie about things and falsify statements given and that is very unethical. Its also unethical that they ask people to write good reviews on glassdoor to make the company look better. If your considering a job at ANY Enlivant building I suggest that you find somewhere else to work. You'd be better off.

    Advice to Management

First of all, Be honest. If you were a good company to work for you wouldn't have to ask your staff to write reviews. Hire people that follow your OWN core values (obviously from the top down) as there are several people that don't from the regional team down to the direct care staff. You need to consider changing your staffing habits and possibly look at whats causing the issues rather than doing the same thing and wondering why you have so much turnover.
