I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

TrulyAmerican company with HQ and R&D in the US
Excellent products with new products coming that will have potential to be game changers
    Flexible work hours
    Unlimited vacation

    Cons

Enphase is in the solar industry. While an exciting industry, it is not for the faint-hearted.
Tried to grow too quickly too fast. Adding new products that weren't right for market. Added wasteful systems and processes to scale that were more akin to an established fortune 500 than a post startup.
    Very few internal promotions opportunities
Many new director and VP hires come from outside of solar and just don't get it or are slow to get up to speed.

    Advice to Management

Cost reductions in day to day operations are necessary but don't get caught up in being "penny wise pound foolish". Those Mckinsey consultants aren't God and have been known to be wrong.
While analytics are good tool it needs to be balanced with customer sentiment provided by sales team. This is where experience in solar matters; no matter what high tech or consulting company the new VP's came from.

I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Wonderful people, fabulous products, good work-life balance, good compensation

    Cons

Wrong cost saving strategies, two many middle managers

    Advice to Management

Cost saving can be performed better. Two many intercontinental trips which might be simply avoided (by using tele-conference systems to attend critical meetings) to save thousands of dollars of cash. Bonus of engineers is not paid for cost saving while managers, directors and VPs are excluded! Lay-off process is so brutal and unfair, in the middle of testing in the lab people are let go! This discourages other employees making them to seriously search for other places to work for (two many examples already observed - very talented people already left!) and also adversely impacts company projects by not letting the laid-off employees transfer technical documents to other to take the role.
