I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Wonderful people, fabulous products, good work-life balance, good compensation

    Cons

Wrong cost saving strategies, two many middle managers

    Advice to Management

Cost saving can be performed better. Two many intercontinental trips which might be simply avoided (by using tele-conference systems to attend critical meetings) to save thousands of dollars of cash. Bonus of engineers is not paid for cost saving while managers, directors and VPs are excluded! Lay-off process is so brutal and unfair, in the middle of testing in the lab people are let go! This discourages other employees...

I worked at Enphase Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good work life balance and nice facility.

    Cons

Company seems to be in very volatile position, may not be able to survive in the market. Already in severe losses and no bonus and pay raise, layoffs happened in nov 2015. Severe cost cutting with in the company and even they have cut down soda. Company is working on cost reduction product but that is planned to deliver in end of 2017 and early 2018 and is extremely difficult to survive for 2 years. No motivation, people...

I worked at Enphase Energy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people, great offices, good work life balance, approachable senior management. Strong reputation in the marketplace that jas carried the company to where it is today. Great place to be from 2010 to 2014.

    Cons

Totally unfocused strategy with no commitment to finishing what they start if they meet with any resistance or difficulty. Senior management not aligned on goals. Goofy consultants run around interrupting real work. Arrogance in the face of competition will probably kill the company.

    Advice to Management

Continue the purge you started in 2015.

I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good people Low turnover in most departments -- strong relationships Good salaries Interesting and engaging work environment Work life balance is very reasonable The company is in a growth industry -- the future could be bright

    Cons

Very quick to embrace management quackery Split into two worlds -- upper management and employees (upper management is often completely out of touch.) Upper management is exclusively hired from outside -- they do not believe in promotion from within Disastrous executive management hiring history Executives are very, very, very overpaid -- everyone else is left out

    Advice to Management

The board of directors needs to clean house and remove a lot of upper management. This is a company with a strong technical base and an underperforming management team. Promote at least SOME upper management from the ranks -- at the very least this will alleviate the separate-worlds scenario we are experiencing.

I worked at Enphase Energy full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Open and transparent work space, team oriented, decent basic compensation. The company still tries to keep it social with quarterly fun Fridays and annual parties. Surrounded by very smart people, opportunities to learn something new every day. Great place to gain technology experience.

    Cons

Very little upward mobility, rules and mandates are made before allowing any input from contributors. The company was innovative, creative and fun when it was a startup with lots of opportunity to learn from others, but as it's grown to a public mid sized company, innovation has been replaced by politics and posturing, and a great lack of sharing of information. Salary and benefits are decent when hired, but increases...

    Advice to Management

Time to get back to focusing on employee satisfaction, assuming retention is a value. Understood that as a company grows, it changes, but I think having a flood of employees leave with a negative experience would be something of concern.

I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Collaborative culture, good work/life balance (especially compared to Silicon Valley norms - office is pretty much empty by 6.15pm), smart and committed people, nice age diversity (again, compared to SilVal where being over 35 makes you feel out of place), walks the talk re. the green focus of the company, technology leader.

    Cons

Struggling to find right balance between instituting processes and weighing teams down with too much process, Sometimes too many involved in each project, so over-collaboration can slow things down.

    Advice to Management

Rebalance some teams to add extra hands at lower levels so more experienced team members have the bandwidth to fly.

I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time

    Pros

Company is slowly moving out from bankruptcy. But the risk is, any medium scale organisation comes in competition the situation can go back to bankruptcy

    Cons

Beware before joining Bangalore office. The may attract with salary. But the bonus system is connected with not achievable goal. Work life balance - Tremendous pressure , normally people are loaded with 3 times, not one case mostly. you do not have a choice of saying NO. Culture- Pretty bad culture , the shouting ,scoldings & insulting starts from CEO

    Advice to Management

Treat employees fairly.Move out from the thought process employees will come & Go & start thinking employees as important factor for business success
