I have been working at Ensign Energy Services as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Been a great experience working for Ensign, they have a great team and a friendly work force. The equipment is easy to use, most personnel are easy to work with.

    Cons

Salary, job availability which in turn reflects on the economy in Alberta and Canada wide right now. New horizons and opportunities are needed to prosper in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Your hands help you to make money that should reflect in their salaries, higher taxes make it harder to afford to work in this industry, some or even a little help with an increase in pay would go a long way.

    Pros

Fast paced, challenging work when the industry is busy

    Cons

Bottom line is the only consideration when adjusting to changing conditions

Pay more attention to employee morale in hard times. If you didn't fire them already, your top people are leaving due to wage cuts, lack of satisfaction and confidence.
