I have been working at Entegris full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

New products in the pipeline, generally flexible work-hours, overall benefits

    Cons

Caustic company culture promoted by management, culture of finger-pointing without understanding the underlying details, no regard for employees professional goals, minimal on the job training

    Advice to Management

Bring in qualified candidates from other companies that have seen and implemented best-in-class processes rather than relying on the current breed of management that have been with the company for long-time as they seem to have no interest in the process of continuous learn/improve/evolve method and seem too comfortable in the same job they have been doing for eons.

I have been working at Entegris (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good people at my organization. They do try hard.

    Cons

The culture of Entegris is like the federal government. More layers of people who have to touch anything to get a simple approval. That's when they let anyone outside of their central control points even touch anything. Great style, if you're living and working in the '70s.

    Advice to Management

Let people do their jobs instead of setting layer after layer of prevention IN CASE one person makes a mistake. The opportunities lost from these roadblocks must be incredible.

I worked at Entegris full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Above market compensation. Hard working employees.

    Cons

Micromanagement of employees, no life/work balance. Terminated under the guise of eliminating position to avoid discriminatory practice. Routinely tried to mask that staffing decisions and elimination based on age. Put your family first and not the plant and you will not be successful.

    Advice to Management

Allow better work/life balance. Develop longer range vision for the organization, do not react to industry fluctuations by eliminating positions.

I worked at Entegris full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They offer a competitive salary and decent benefits, with annual bonus. Most people are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

    Cons

There is far too much pressure put on every employee. I was doing the job of at least 2 people without being able to come up for air. If you mention that you are under more stress than you can handle, the response is to work harder to get work done quicker. Most of the chemists and engineers are great people, but everyone is far too overworked, which makes for a miserable work experience. Management is only concerned with turning a profit and will gladly replace you with someone who will work longer for less pay.
Forget about a full time job with benefits; they mostly only hire as contractors so they won't need to provide benefits. You are made to feel guilty for taking time off or leaving on time, and most people are suggested to work long hours.

    Advice to Management

Morale has been decimated since the Great Recession, and people are teetering on edge of sanity. The more early mornings and late night phone calls you insist on, more people will become fed up and leave.

    Pros

Compensation and benefits are above average.

    Cons

PTO can't be negotiated because it's not defined or "centrally tracked". The reality is much like any other company that keeps track of your PTO - they just take away your ability to negotiate it. Boss was very competent, but didn't communicate or manage people very well.
