  8. "Developing a "Yes Mentality""

    Star Star Star Star Star

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The ATL group is great! The culture is fun yet professional. They hire people with lively personalities so networking and building these professional relationships, whether it is in search of a mentor or friend, is relatively easy. The work-day is also super enjoyable--one day never looks the same. You aren't trapped in an office, you get to interact closely with our customers, and you continue to develop this "yes mentality" that is becoming so necessary in professional settings this day in age. Honestly, did not think I would enjoy it, but it is probably the most fun job I've had in my career.

    Cons

The hours are the only challenge. 49 hours a week on average. That being said, I have worked jobs that were salaried at 40 hours a week and they were more exhausting than the management trainee program with Enterprise. I look at it this way- 40 hours stuck in a cubicle on the computer or telephone all week... or 49 hours a week interacting with new faces, sometimes taking a drive to pick up or drop off a customer, and facing new and exciting challenges every day has proved to be much more exciting and enjoyable.

    Advice to Management

Stay consistent with what the higher-ups require from different branches. If you are sliding by or taking a short-cut it reflects on not only your branch, but also the MT's under you who are working so hard to be promoted ahead of past and future classes.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers, and the family oriented culture of the company. They try to have as much fun as possible which is good considering that you spend more time around them than you do with your family.

    Cons

The company is sales performance based so that is the only way to advance through the company. So if you struggle with sales then you will have a hard time getting promoted. Also, you work long hours each day and then are open on during the holidays through out the year except for the major ones.
