    Pros

    Good products! Some good people!

    Cons

I know several people who have applied here with a very good cv & work related experience relevant to the company, only to be told "not the right fit " or you applied previously so we cannot review your cv again!! It is widely spoken even by agencies about the "odd recruitment process "!!
You have to wonder are you accessing the person or something else in the name of "prejudice"!!
I worked here a few years back glad to move on!

    Advice to Management

Mr CEO if you really care about people why don't you take the time to monitor your recruitment process & check to see if it is "a fair process " otherwise get rid of the prejudice & any bad eggs!

I have been working at Enterprise Inns as a contractor

    Pros

I honestly cannot think of anything positive to say about my experienc of working with Enterprise Inns

    Cons

In 14 years I have seen little or nothing good come out of this company, I have watched many publicans who have sunk their life savings in to regenerating the hub of the community only to have it taken off them with no return as the common practice from enterprise is to inflate the dilapidation report to the value of fixture and fittings so the tenant/lease holders barely walks out with their clothes on their back.
With the new pub codes of practice have come even more tactical bullying by Enterprise Inns. If you have a pub that has a turn over of around £12 to £15,000 a week their pilot scheme that is already in place means they will not renew your tenancy and force you out and whatever value you have built up will be swallowed up in the dilapidation repayment.
Many of the pubs for lease on their website have nil premium and low rents to entice you to part with your well earned money, those pubs on their website are mainly the graveyard of someone else’s life savings so read on if you wish to join the industry. Enterprise Inns have a multitude of dirty tricks at their disposal and use them mercilessly. After a Tenant has worked all hours of the day, paid an inflated rent, paid obscenely inflated prices for their tied beers - and sunk all their redundancy or proceeds of house sales funds - into their Pub with all the enthusiasm of a new venture - they will get NO support from Enterprise Inns, they will struggle and maybe fail - then see their beloved Pub rented out at a peppercorn rent of maybe a £1 per week! Enterprise will do this, but offer no help to you whatsoever when a business struggles.
If your thinking of joining this industry rent a shop and turn it in to a micro pub, overheads are far less to the point you do not even pay business rates if the shop is under a ratable value of £6500, you can sell exactly the same as the traditional pub and not be forced to pay the extortionate tied prices for your beers - and it does not matter how big the shop is as micro pubs is nothing more than a name there is no statutory size. GREED is the mantra of Enterprise Inns.

    Advice to Management

Transparency would be a great start. Honesty would be refreshing butI I am afraid that I hold out little hope for either - Enterprise Inns are making huge efforts to thwart , frustrate and circumnavigate the intent of the new Pubs Code as it does not serve their corporate interests and looks out for the interests of the long suffering Tenant/Leaseholder. Something which is in complete contradiction of the whole tenet of Enterprise Inns.

I have been working at Enterprise Inns full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent drive and enthusiasm within the business and some very inspirational senior managers, you have to work hard at achieving work life balance but it is obtainable , there will always be times of the year when deadlines have to be met though.

    Cons

Sometimes things can be over processed and it can be frustrating when the tail wags the dog.

    Advice to Management

There is a really healthy culture of good management with a constant desire to change and improve , never lose sight of this and make it the top of any agenda , there is a lot of talent within this company
