I worked at Enterprise full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Competitive base pay (for those with little to no experience) + commission tiers that are fair
Full benefits package, medical/dental/eye 401K life insurance etc.
Deeply discounted rentals for you, friends, and family
    Opportunity for advancement

    Cons

I felt like I had to jump through a lot of hoops just to get this job. The entire application/interview process is unbelievably lengthy.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to be able to speak to a human sometimes and not an answering machine. It is so hard to get into contact with someone when I need assistance with something.

I worked at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Steady safe work with not much turnover. A some what flexible schedule. My boss is great. Her boss is oblivious. Which is fine until he tries to ask about your day.

    Cons

Not a good work culture. Remedial redundant work. Very little management back up. Training of new employees has gotten worse. SOP changes all the time

    Advice to Management

    Care about your employees

    Pros

A management position in retail out of college that can harden you. It will either make you better or hurt you forever. You will get to deal with many tough situations under high pressure.

    Cons

Horrible, low class, customers that want something for free. They will call and complain on you at all cost. Your coworkers will be completely fake and superiors will never have your back. This is an unethical company with low character employees and even worse customers.

    Advice to Management

I would advise you to go away from this company. Do not apply here, it is not worth it.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Great work/Life balance, Wonderful management all the way up to the top, Cool bonuses and great base pay, abilty to work from home, and perks and rewards for a job well done!

    Cons

Not a lot of advancement if not in the vacinity of the brick and mortar location, some of the bonus requirementts where unfair based on things that you can not control, having something like a disconnect percentage ( how many times you hang up first) affect my pay increase when all other metrics where far beyond office average.

    Advice to Management

If there are a lot of a complaints on a particular issue take quicker action to resolve it. History proves when we have the tools to do our jobs the results are amazing for the company.

I worked at Enterprise part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible hours
    Likable people
Simple work - driving cars can be fun

    Cons

Pay for entry level work is lower than at competitors
Consistently running out of cars resulting in unhappy customers
    High employee turnover

    Advice to Management

Compensate managers based on customer satisfaction and not percentage of fleet rented. Focus on customer satisfaction. Make transition for employees of acquired companies easier.

    Pros

Very good benefits for employees with familys and stable income

    Cons

Company pay the person, not the position. You will need to have a handful of promotions to get to competitive salaries of similar outside jobs

    Advice to Management

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples when evaluating performance with other groups

I worked at Enterprise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

"Discounted" rental car insurance from their absurdly over-priced rental program for employees.

    Cons

Does not pay based on the value you bring, and they will promote people over you if they threaten to quit - even if they will fail in the role. When your in their training program, you don't mind working 55+ hours a week because you get overtime pay, but as soon as you cross over into being an assistant manager you work more hours for less pay. They tell you they value "work/life balance", but you're still expected to work the same amount of hours during their designated hours of operations, so good luck trying to get your kids too and from school when you have to be at work by 6:30 or 7 AM, and your doors don't shut until after 6PM. If your desperate for a job just to get experience, pick Enterprise, if you would like to enjoy any aspect of your personal life then STAY AWAY!

    Advice to Management

Try being fair to your employees and treat them like they matter.

I worked at Enterprise full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Enterprise provides great experience and looks very good on a resume. It is a great place to start your career or to give you experience you need in the business world.

    Cons

Move up or move on mentality. Low wages and long hours. Washing care in a suit and tie not a lot of fun.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great training programs!
