Reviews about "work from home"

Pros
Nothing really that you cant find in any other company, go somewhere else.
Cons
Nepotism, toxic managers, and hostile coworkers that still remain due to being protected by higher-ups. The most hostile are getting rewarded and promoted. Enterprise does not care about its employees, HR is not on your side. whatever you do, don't complain to HR.....Just QUIT. Enterprise forced all its employees to work during covid, refused to have a work from home policy, only to spit on our faces and started making vaccination a requirement and forcing its employees to get the vaccination. Lots of shady things go on with upper management. Very few black people are managers and even up from that. I don't even think there is a black director and up. If you are black, you have very limited growth at Enterprise. Enterprise has all this money yet suppliers are had to get, they are always cutting corners and restricting spending. There is a saying about enterprise... it is a Big company that likes to operate small. Ridiculous work load, company refuses to spend money to benefit its employees. Makes you wonder where all that money is going, we all know where its going... all the upper management are eating it and enjoying with their 400K salaries.

Understaffed but no layoffs
Jun 15, 2022 - Commercial Manager in Houston, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Due to the "lean" workforce at Enterprise, we haven't had to worry about layoffs in any downturn. And it's a very agressive company which constantly optimizes it's commerical operations.
Cons
Very lean workforce. No work from home policy, COVID flexibility was pretty non-existent.

Compliance Issues, Zero Flexibility, Bad Handling of Covid
Aug 22, 2021 - EHSTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Many employees are disappointed in the company and leaving so there should be job openings listed soon. Good pay is the only reason to be here. Other departments at this company may have acceptable working conditions but the EHST Department has serious issues both in the field and corporate offices.
Cons
Widespread compliance issues and failing infrastructure that are severe enough to undermine the company's long term sustainability and stock prices. Understaffed and overworked. Zero flexibility (no flex time, no comp time, no work from home, no alternative schedule). If you are sick and have to take leave they still expect you to work at home while you are gone. Since they don't allow working from home, you will be expected to take PTO and work from home while sick. Hard work is rewarded with more work, not advancement. No support for employees with covid, or for employees with family members with covid.

Great benefits but be prepared for a lot of work!
Sep 29, 2021 - Accountant in Houston, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pay is good and benefits are second to none. Health insurance costs less with twice the coverage of my previous employer. Heavily subsidized parking or free bus passes for commuters.
Cons
Old school O&G mindset in management. Expect long hours and no flex time or work from home opportunities here. Also, PTO is mediocre at best.

Good place to work, except during Covid
Aug 20, 2020 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good team environment, good pay and benefits
Cons
Since July, it’s 100% back in the office with zero allowance for work from home. See other reviews about old school culture, that’s coming back in the form of the company actively opposing any accommodation for work from home, even if you have kids in virtual schooling. Masks are required at all times in the office (good) but other than that they’re pretending it’s business as usual. Management stresses “personal responsibility” and not coming to work if sick at all, but it costs vacation time if you call in sick. The incentives and the message don’t line up.

Being in technology, No work from home or flexibility but employer wants you to work from home during maintenance but not when you need it. Use PTO for everything even doctors visit if you can make without being stuck in houston traffic. Very limited PTO Work Life balance Not much growth Average pay Layoff like other companies.

Good company, profitable. good benefits. decent compensation
Oct 30, 2012 - Anonymous Employee in Houston, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
CEO very knowledgeable leading the company to profitability. If all you want is a decent paycheck, then Enterprise is an OK place to work. Bus fare (or parking) is subsidized. Half day Fridays. Good health care. stock options. Pension 4% match on 401k
Cons
Leadership does not cross over to IT dept. Spoiled user with a 'small company' mentality. Micro-managers who don't have the knowledge or experience to make a decision and enforce the 'rules'. No work from home opportunities.
