    Pros

I have been with Enterprise Holdings for 7+ years now. I can't say enough about how great of a company Enterprise is to be a part of. I am currently an Area Manager and just like everybody else in the company started my career as a Management Trainee. The MT program is an all inclusive program that gives you the tools needed every step of the way to learn the business. The company truly promotes on success. The company truly has an employees first mindset. Our mission statement states that if we take care of our employees and customers then profits will follow and we see that with every action throughout my career. Once you become a manager you have a fantastic ability to increase your own paycheck by being successful. I recently was able to achieve a promotion where the company paid on their own expense to move me and my family across the country.

    Cons

The most common complaints we hear initially are the long work weeks. It is a change to be on a 49 hour work week from day 1 but with everything you do throughout the day a 49 hour week goes much quicker than a 40 hour work week at most other jobs. You truly get out what you put in!

    Advice to Management

Your ability to build your pay plan and truly make an impact in customers and employees as you move up through the company is an amazing opportunity!

    Cons

Hours - unbearable especially if you have satellites

Unclear regarding pay (similar to the way we sell our customers)
Forces you to come in during inclement weather and pick up customers despite dangerous driving conditions
    Very political
So many mixed messages sent from management that you will be utterly confused on what proper practices are

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Learn a lot of things...how to sale, how to deal with public (Customer Service), how to manage, how to deal with long hours. Learn a lot of different perspecitves in just one job.

    Cons

I don't have to many cons about this company. I don't like the 11 hours a day. Also I don't like how you have to sale to move up in the company. I think they need to look at other things and how to move up.

    Advice to Management

Management has always been good to me throughout my time at Enterprise. I have not had any problems

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I started out as a temp employee back in to 2007. I've been through the transition to part-time employee and then full-time employee. The management really cares about their employees. They will give you advice and training not only for what you do but also for what you want to do. Enterprise really does promote from within first. Since there are so many branches of opportunity (administrative, retail sales, wholesale sales, work in the neighborhood branches or the airport), you are able to spread your wings and learn new talents without leaving the company! I also like the emphasis the company gives on community as well. I've been able to request donations for non-profits I supported through Enterprise's philanthropic funds as well as volunteer through their community care days.

    Cons

The only downside I can think of would be the same at any job - work loads ebb and flow. As long as you're willing and happy to complete your job, you probably won't even notice when a day is longer than usual.

    Advice to Management

Your support and guidance have been invaluable to my career! He's to another 60 years of Enterprise Rent A Car.
