I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Uncapped earning potential. Many career paths and opportunities to fit everyone's life and interests. You work hard and get rewarded if you are patient

    Cons

Work long hours and deal with some tough customers but nothing that can't be fixed or dealt with. Some management is under qualified but that is more of a reason to put perform them.

I worked at Enterprise full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Met a lot of great people with the company that will be good friends forever, great intro to sales and management, learned how to manage and control cost.

    Cons

Upper management is all the same they praise you for the good work today but tomorrow all your hard work will be forgotten, work/life balance is terrible, work 60 hours a week and don't get much time with your family and friends outside of work, area managers micro manage, they sell a dream job when you first come in and try brain wash but it doesn't end up the dream they sell!!

    Advice to Management

Figure out a way for work life balance even if it means hiring more employees. Stop worrying about the personnel cost because happier employees will lead to more production!!

    Pros

Good job if you are right out of college and living at home without real responsibility to pay bills or have a meaningful income.

    Cons

Long hours, unhappy customers, never treated like you are a professional although you have worked hard to get a four year college degree which is required for employment. If you take the job, beware careful. Co-workers are not mature and will stab you in the back for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay. Change trainee salary structure to an annual salary instead of hourly pay since you require employees to work until all work and prep for the next day.

I worked at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Drove nice cars. Got to learn the details of how a business operates.

    Cons

ZERO work life balance when you get into management. 60-70 hour weeks are not uncommon at larger stores during spring and summer. They say you can run it like its your own business-but you cannot. "big brother" is always watching you. Their staffing model is kids just out of college who are okay with being brainwashed and worked like a slave because this is usually their first real job. If you are over 30 DO NOT work here

    Advice to Management

put you employees before profit-not vice versa. If you put employees first profits will follow!!

I have been working at Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Great first job for new graduates who haven't found a position in their field yet. You will be able to network everyday, with all the customers you come in contact with. The availability of promotions.

    Cons

You work 7a-6p for at least 5 years before you can get promoted to Area Manager (district manager). To get promoted it's only based on sales vs. you're experience and customer service. You don't get paid enough for all you do.

    Advice to Management

Assist employees with all duties of the position, as far as cleaning cars. Most importantly, better communication (relaying messages, using appropriate tone of voice)

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The training program is extremely well structured. You learn how to run your own business from the moment you step on board. However, you are constantly understaffed. It's a great "first job" for people just out of college. You constantly get invited to company events (bowling, happy hours, etc.) which is very intriguing, and sometimes can make up for the consistent pay that is around $40k year to start.

    Cons

There's a low work/life balance. You are constantly understaffed at the branches. If you get promoted to another department (fleet management, business rental sales, car sales, accounting) there's a MUCH better work/life balance. The pay is good, but you don't have time to enjoy your money with fun stuff because you end up working about 60 hours a week.

    Advice to Management

The company promotes only from within, which is a great perk for new employees because current management has "been there, done that" with whatever the new employees are doing (cleaning cars, checking in customers, promoting insurance, etc.).

    Pros

Tough management but they helped me learn. Met nice coworkers. Your next job offer will be much better than this and you will be happier.

    Cons

Terrible first year. They seem to make sure it will be a rough one. Benefits are horrible no matter how long you worked there.

    Advice to Management

Offer better benefits. Stop advertising that you hire from the bottom half of the college grads
