I worked at Enterprise full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I spent four+ years with Enterprise and held every position from Trainee to Branch Manger. -Money is good for just coming out of college. -Management are really great people who have been in your shoes. -Great support network -Flexibility with your schedule depending on your direct manager -Allows you to build a set of skills that then translate well to other companies whether it be in sales, management, or customer service. -They only promote from within so hypothetically you can work your way up the chain to making some serious money, you just have to be the type of person who is talented/resilient.

    Cons

As with any entry level job you will be working a lot of hours. As you get promoted you get more autonomy with your schedule however. As an "MT" you will work M-F 7-6pm and 4 hours every other Saturday typically. If you do have to work the weekend management will give you a half day during the week. They do try to keep you around 48 hours per week. Pay is not horrible however as a Branch Manager your commission can depend on several factors outside of your control that can be challenging at times.

I worked at Enterprise full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people to work with & great place to start to enter the sales world

    Cons

Extremely long hours, slow advancement, make sure you know EVERYTHING you are going to be doing before accepting the job. Not a huge con but there are days that you will be getting your hands dirty, so definitely not for everyone. Very quick to burnout here.

I worked at Enterprise full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

At a branch level you usually work with great people. You’ll learn how to run a business. You’re doing a little bit of everything, so it will help your resume if you decide to leave. You occasionally will get to make someone’s day. You’re able to build a large network of relationships.

    Cons

First and foremost the politics cause so many issues. If you’re not one of the favorites you’ll frequently be overlooked for promotions. People will be promoted before understanding the full operations of the business just because they can sell, which backfires down the road. Be prepared to work long hours and not really be compensated for it. Any opportunity outside of rental is usually a pay cut and it’s sold to you as more work life balance, but outside of the company, you’re able to work less hours for equal or more pay. There’s a lot of things that go on behind the scenes and it’s causing good people to leave. There is only so much you can do to control your branch and your restricted to the economic status of the community your branch is located.
