I worked at Entropic Communications full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

cutting edge technology, friendly working environment. excellent tools

    Cons

incompetent top management, who wasted most of the company's last several years on wrong products and failed to properly manage acquired companies (Trident & Mobius). The company started downhill roll when the CEO and CFO put up that "Reserved Parking" signs for themselves

    Advice to Management

get down to the field and really find out what the market needs. and put down your ego.

I worked at Entropic Communications (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most of the people working for Entropic Communications are hard working and try to make a difference. They are dedicated to their goals of creating or building a good company

    Cons

Management does not have a clue. From The CEO down to senior management, they are awful to work for. They have no clue how to deal with a non start up company and only care about their own golden parachutes.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees well and they will do almost anything required to succeed. Treat them with little to no respect and they will treat you the same.

    Cons

Very hard to move up in the company, but it is also a small startup.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, and replace that old server ;)

I worked at Entropic Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice office space in the heart of silicon valley. Pioneered moca. Nice work culture. Took over from Trident. But didnt go as expected.

    Cons

Low visibility on targets. Confused team members. Partly unlucky to have had unfavorable sales outlook but sales improved later.

    Advice to Management

Management should concentrate on outlook and improve visibility. Hold annual meetings and quarterly meetings.
