    Pros

Coworkers get you through the day (for the most part)

    Cons

Literally everything else. Every level of management is garbage. They practice unfair hiring/firing processes. If they like you personally (take smoke breaks together, grab drinks, etc), you stay and move up in the company. If not well, you have to go. If you are looking for stable and fulfilling employment, avoid it Envision.

    Advice to Management

    Do everything differently.

I worked at Envision Experience as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Travel for free, housing covered, food mostly covered, can make some really great friends

    Cons

Worked for 4 summers, this past summer was the worst. Envision continually increases prices for students, yet continues to eliminate elements from the programs. The company runs each summer as though it's their first time. Effective changes are not made year to year to improve the programs.

Poor hiring process (just via phone call). They won't fire unfit employees because they don't want to have to go through that process and then find a replacement.

Expect to work 16+ hours a day. If you're on contract it comes out to like $4/hour. Not worth the chaos and stress.

Such poor communication across all levels of management. As mentioned before they don't make effective changes, and each summer is so unorganized you'd assume this is their first time running these programs.

    Advice to Management

Concern for your employees and students should come before profits.

    Pros

I can quit my job without penalty as long as I pay them back $300 for flights that I will not take.

    Cons

The company works you 17 hours a day. They do not value their staff members on site at all. There curriculum for their middle schoolers has been completely inaccurate and none of the labs have actually worked when one tries to implement them. The company hires people as subcontractors without background checks from Craigslist and lets them around the children. Even though, this incident was pointed out to an immediate supervisor, as an employee I was told to watch what I say around scholars and their parents. Its the most unorganized company that I have ever worked for and employees do not get their daily conference schedule until the day of, thus making it difficult for advisors to effectively lead their scholars throughout the day.

    Advice to Management

You need to hire more staff and have less work hours. 17 hours a day is outrageous.

    Pros

    -Absolutely AMAZING co-workers
    -Travel included

    Cons

    -Incompetent Management
    -Ridiculous work hours (14+ day)
    -sub-par training
    -disorganized
    -unprofessional

    Advice to Management

Instead of focusing on enrolling the highest number of scholars (whose families pay thousands of dollars for this opportunity), work on adequately training staff in order to provide these students with the best experience. Stop ripping off families and abusing employees.

    Pros

Nice people for the most part, good location

    Cons

Finance runs firm with an iron fist, no loyalty to employees and little appreciation of good work. Loss of long term employees and reliance on contractors show the bottom line matters more than building a cohesive and motivated team.

    Advice to Management

Be realistic with financial expectations, respect your long term employees and be open and honest about organizational challenges, strategy and changes.
