I worked at Envision Healthcare (More than a year)

    Pros

Location is the only positive aspect of this company

    Cons

Worst company I have ever worked for! HR is non-existent, no structure, no consistency, no value of employees whatsoever. Honestly, absolutely worst experience in my entire career. Run, don't walk away from this mess.

    Advice to Management

Value employees, share a tiny bit of the million dollar bonuses you get because of employee effort. Invest substantial $ into a total rehaul of HR. Create consistency in process. Hopefully the merger will fix these massive deficiencies.

I have been working at Envision Healthcare full-time

    Pros

    - Good location in the Denver Tech center
    - Newer desks, chairs, cubes and laptops
    - Many of the individual contributors are great people with a lot of expertise
    - New opportunities (potentially) related to the numerous mergers and acquisitions

    Cons

    - No sense of culture
    - Tons of politics and passive aggressive attitudes between teams, groups, and locations
    - Absolutely no effort put into employee training or ramp up
    - Terrible communication between management and employees
    - Terrible communication / sync between the central office and the field
    - An atmosphere of fear, secrets and "in the know" with all of the mergers / acquisitions
    - Directors and VP's with only a few reports, yet they're never around and don't respond to email
    - Employees are treated like contractors; both are treated like cattle

    Advice to Management

Communicate to employees. Act like you're interested in them.

I have been working at Envision Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Great location in the DTC area of Greenwood Village

    Cons

    - Extremely political with management only hiring their unqualified church buddies
    - Oppressive Culture with no communication from management to employees
    - Management only looks out for themselves, no concern for employee development/recognition
    - Constant blame game where management never takes responsibility for their decisions
    - Constant turnover leaves employees left to train new hires while apathetic managers remain to continue the quagmire they have created

    Advice to Management

Seriously assess senior level managers at corporate office and decide whether the burn and churn of employees is worth the expense to the company that these managers are creating.

    Pros

Good PRN pay rate. Paid mileage

    Cons

Disorganized at a local level. When 2 offices were combined into one office communication became poor.

    Advice to Management

    Value your therapy team

I worked at Envision Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good flexibility, solid work/life balance, opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the public. A fair amount of opportunity for autonomy.

    Cons

Very little oversight or direction from management. Very much had the sense that your were expendable. Very little opportunity for upward mobility as management consolidated power and was loathe to relinquish any responsibility.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to take a good, long look at who is in charge and redefine the culture.

    Pros

Easy job a monkey can do it. There is only one main system with three pages you will primarily use. The Co workers are great

    Cons

The pay is on the low end, the health insurance is on the high end to the point most people dont have it,there is no room for advancement unless you are hired by a friend in management that pushes for you to get the position over an outside individual.

    Advice to Management

During interview management advises that you will roll over in 90 days and that your pay at that time will be based on experience. This is not true, so my advice is to be honest with potential employee's and allow them to make the best decision for them.

    Pros

my immediate supervisor is AMAZING. Some staff generously friendly and funny and welcoming. Easy access location.

    Cons

Super conservative in both culture and dress code. Work crazy hours both during close and beyond. Some months close seems to last until the next close.

    Advice to Management

More worker bees are needed... Less management. Crazy hours. Easy to get burnt out.
