      Great Starting Flight Attendant Job!

      Pros

A lot of leverage with schedule. American Airlines benefits without having to work reserve for 30+ years at mainline.

      Cons

Low pay for a flight attendant. Only get paid while the airplane door is closed.

      Flight Attendant with Envoy Airlines

      Pros

Upgraded aircrafts at all bases to E175 instead of the EMB140/5 In-flight managers are good and empathetic Offer great 401K benefits Insurance covers and short and long term disabilities are good FMLA works well

      Cons

Delays in flights Bases in NYC, LGA and JFK can be lengthy to get to and costly by taxi. Pay could be more competitive with the other American Eagle subsidiaries. Layover hotels could be better Crew scheduling need improvement with phone etiquette and can hang up on flight attendants Gate agent at O'Hare International Airport ( ORD ) are rude and short patient Based close at the NYC airports. Best location in the company Points system on attendant needs revising. Upgrade to the American Airlines mainline system in which is helpful for commuter flight attendants

      Pros

Flight Benefits with American Airlines PT schedule Active job If interested in being FA, there’s a pathway

      Cons

No real time to utilize flight benefits. Especially if you’re new. Very unprofessional environment - from management and leadership on-site right on over to HR. The culture is pretty toxic. Operations are a mess and communication is non-existent They will hire anyone with a pulse. The lack of discretion during the hiring process is reflective of the company, how it operates and why the turnover rate is so high.
