    Pros

They're a large, global, company with lots of opportunities. They have good benefits and pay is on par with their competitors.

    Cons

Decisions are all about the bottom line. It seems there is very little consideration for employees, regardless of tenure. There doesn't seem to be any loyalty to the workforce who give it their all. Offshoring initiatives take precedence over quality of workforce.

I have been working at Epicor Software full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Very friendly environment!
    Good communication
    Good salary
    Great co-workers
Lots of vacation days available from day one
Lots of training and courses for Epicor's products available

    Cons

You learn lots of things that could only be useful at Epicor
Feel like workers aren't appreciated much by Upper Management (no Christmas party, no socialization events, no bonuses like savings or sales)

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your workers. Monterrey's office feels let down with how the company is behaving lately with them. There are little bonuses besides those required by law. And there was no company-wide event last year and up until this one.

I worked at Epicor Software full-time

    Pros

    - competitive salary and commission
    - fair with expenses
    - benefit plan is good
    - matching pension plan is good

    Cons

    - very poor on boarding tools and processes. This has been mentioned in other reviews as it so true. And with any organization, once you fall behind you are playing catch up
    - monthly and quarterly pressure can be overwhelming
    - HR support is non-existent - worst I have ever experienced
    - you are expected to be on call 24/7

    Advice to Management

The on-boarding was the worst I have experienced. And while the management knew this, they let it continue. All this work to hire you and no effort to retain you.

I have been working at Epicor Software full-time

    Pros

I love the ability to work remote.

    Cons

Epicor is backed by a financial group that is all about limiting expenses. This means we do not always have the best people for the job.

    Pros

    Salary better than service Companies.

    Cons

    Poor management
No assurance on the Job security.
Hired the experienced resources by attractive salary and later ask few of the resource to leave the job in between.
New company which was setup in Nov-2014.

    Advice to Management

    -Be Pro-active
    -Think twice and act wise
-Top level management should understand the level of the problem facing by the ground level. Please conduct periodic meeting with the random team members to knew the cons & prons of the user.
-Don't come to conclusion on the resources based on the project manger evaluation.

    Pros

Great products capable of addressing multiple market sectors discrete and process. Strong technology and 'current' products and services. HR team strong in organising events and support for charities all-round a good place to work.

    Cons

Silo mentality with management more focussed on their individual departmental issues and budgets rather than the solutions as a whole. Poor utilisation of the older product set.

    Advice to Management

Change to a more team focussed ethic, balancing the individual departmental issues with the overall company aim of delivering quality solutions to its customers.

I worked at Epicor Software full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I worked for Epicor for 25 years as a software developer. I loved my job because of the wonderful people and interesting work. I was working in a department which created products to help privately owned hardware stores stay profitable in a changing retail environment.

    Cons

The company is now run by its fourth private equity firm. Each private equity firm has overseen mergers, name changes, acquisitions, layoffs, and the farming out of business functions to other companies in order to turn a profit on its buyout. Under the third private equity firm, upper management began moving engineering and customer support personnel jobs to Mexico and India. The only US jobs filled were very high salary upper management positions of which there seemed to be too many. This spoke to me of cronyism in upper management. The layoffs of US based engineering and support personnel have made supporting the many US Epicor clients difficult. To me this does not speak well for the continuing health of the US products I had supported.

    Advice to Management

Look at the true costs of moving engineering and customer support for US products to other countries.
