I worked at Epsilon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

We did some interesting work for the clients I was assigned to. Ability to design and develop a new product from the ground up and deploy to our clients was excellent.

Most non-management staff were very good and easy to work with. Fun environment with misc all company parties and things of that nature on a regular basis. Onsite cafeteria and gym.

    Cons

Pay was below market by 10-15%. To be promoted you had to perform the job you were going to be promoted into for several months at your current level and pay. In many instances when the time came for the promotion, employees were told "we don't have the budget to do this now" so no promotion or raise. This happened to multiple people while I was there.

Raises were minimal, barely covering cost-of-living adjustments. Company cried poverty when review and raise time came, but announced record earnings of hundreds of millions of dollars one month later. Management review and raises were separate from non-management raises.

Lots of turnover in the BA roles. One team started with 10 BA's and Sr BA's and in 4 months 7 people left.

Individual client teams were silo'd. Rare for one client team to interact with other client teams.

    Advice to Management

Spread the wealth to non-management employees. Align salaries with industry standards. Align internal roles with industry standards. Assure people in the same roles are connecting and sharing information.

    Pros

Nice working environment with friendly people, recently added benefits of working from home 2 days a week, "unlimited" vacation (as long as it works out with team and co-workers). Employ survey is taken seriously by upper management and they work to improve conditions

    Cons

Has recently lost some clients leading to down-sizing. Recently opened an office in India, a good percentage of open jobs are being fulfilled by this new office

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to employ survey. Also add questions to the survey about how employees feel about pros and cons of working with the off shore office

I have been working at Epsilon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of new technology and cloud migration

    Cons

Lots of layoffs - lots of hiring in Bangalore India. all at the same time on the same teams... Lots of management pressure on employees, acts like employees are replaceable cogs in a machine.

    Advice to Management

Keep America working. Over half the teams on shore are H1-B Visa, and whats left of Americans are slowly being laid off and replaced with workers in EBR (India)

I worked at Epsilon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are OK, work from home 2 days

    Cons

This company has a lot of potential, but has poor leadership. This is a great place to get your hands on different technologies and build experience if you are starting out. For the general IT department, you will work 60 hour weeks and be expected to available 24/7/365 nights, weekends and your vacations. You will be micro managed and treated as if you do not know what you are doing. There is high turnover due to the poor leadership, long hours and lack of processes. There is currently a major initiative to shift jobs to India for a lower cost, so odds are you will laid off within the next 1-2 years. The culture outside of the IT department is seems to good and supportive, opportunities for volunteering if you can find the time.

    Advice to Management

Promote work life balance, provide leadership training to the executives so they will treat employees with respect. Remember that the customers and employees are stakeholders just like the shareholders.
