I have been working at Ergobaby full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Friendly and welcoming environment and coworkers are great. No real egos to deal with. Working overall is an enjoyable experience. - Good work life balance. There are going to be times when you have to grind, but in general Ergobaby encourages you to spend time with your family and friends. - Convenient for those who live near a Metro train station, BUT see cons - Good benefits package overall

    Cons

    - If you don't live near a Metro train station, getting to the HQ office in downtown LA can be a headache and costly. Company does not have free parking. - No Bonuses for non-senior management. - No clear defined career path. Possibly limited growth depending on position. - Very high turnover rate. Employee retention seems to be an issue.

I worked at Ergobaby full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Convenient to train station. Lots of 'fun' HR parties and events, nice product discount

    Cons

-Worst Management Ever. From the top down. -Favoritism - some folks get to play and some get to slave. -HR exists only to organize parties, doesn't deal with employee issues. They are not there for you, only for management. -It's all about the bottom line - not very human. -Lots of talk about improving culture, very little action. No clear way to improve process. -Some people are paid incredibly and most not. -No bonuses. Very little promotion. -High turnover rate. Recently a massive number of top level management quit and or "quit" -Have let go of many good people on a whim. Popularity contest atmosphere. Lots of suck ups. -Closed the original office and about to close another satellite office - business doing poorly consistently the entire time I worked here. -A lot of inept and lazy people have managed to make a niche for themselves longterm here and if you threaten them with your performance in any way they find ways to make your work more difficult. Like pushing a cart sideways. Over bodies. Did I say run? Run.

I have been working at Ergobaby full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    It's in a walkable location.

    Cons

This company is held by a private equity firm, so it's painfully obvious that it's all about ROI. Toxic culture spreads down from the higher-ups; you will constantly sense how minimally you are valued. The location, while walkable, is in a very unsavory part of DTLA. It reeks of urine everywhere. There are often aggressive or homeless individuals hanging around the building. How many times can one reinvent the backpack for a baby? Good luck with your 5 year plan.

I worked at Ergobaby full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

SLOW to change. Long arduous painful processes to implement new procedures Managers make bonuses based on lower level employees performance Managers have ultimate flexibility

    Cons

Management is a good ol boys club Pay is menial considering the work load They will overload you with work if an employee from your department goes on leave or quits make no mistake you will be doing the full job of two people for months or even years Lower level employees receive NO bonuses based on performance or even a Christmas Bonus Distracted so much by outpacing the competition that they cannot effectively meet goals Lack mentality Fear based management

I worked at Ergobaby full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Most people are nice and easy to work with

    Cons

Clique environment, not professional, very focused on culture rather than improving process or work, no room for growth and finally the very expensive downtown parking. Overall this is a place to work if you don't expect to accomplish much or grow.

    Pros

Easy product to learn. It was run like a start up but changed to more corporate after the buy out of Orbit Baby.

    Cons

Go back to the startup feel of the company it's better than the corporate mindset.

    I worked at Ergobaby full-time

    Pros

    - Amazing space for women to thrive under the right management - Supportive workplace that is understanding of family needs/ cares about general well being of their employees - Upper management is accessible - If you are a self starter with the desire to work hard and learn they will let you explore and push your position into new heights. - Flexible -Great space to establish a career in the baby industry

    Cons

-The promotion cycle is not clear or competitive within the market - Management tends to not shift around and so growth is very limited -There is a strong disconnect in the work load of certain employees and this can cause a burnout due to not being promoted/ things falling on them
