I worked at Erickson Living full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits and the residents are amazing.

    Cons

As a security officer/EMT you are rarely put in a position to do your actual job. Tasks are handed down and security is more of a catch all department for other departments that feel a task is beneath them or they just do not feel like doing. Mundane inspections that do not follow policy’s put in place and a lack of caring whether is fits corporate standards.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees concerns, I get you are business but treat people with empathy and allow them to do the job they were hired for. Burnout is also a very real thing. You cannot understaff shifts for months on end with the same workload meant for a full shift and expect employees to be happy about it.

I have been working at Erickson Living full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits, and great team work to provide excellent patient care.

    Cons

Nursing management is not supportive to floor staff. Leadership seems unorganized. No solution has been made regarding staff retention. I feel like staff recruitment is a huge issue. Numerous staff call offs daily lead to staffing shortages.

    Advice to Management

Take a humble look at the nursing floor team and assist them when they need support. Leadership please assist HR more with staff recruitment. I feel like a lot of bad candidates are being employed and quitting quickly.
