    Pros

I really enjoy working for a company that is built around positive values, respect and caring for others, and respect for your front-line staff. Great benefits and programs to help employees grow their careers as well!

    Cons

Communications can sometimes be slow and getting things done/approved can be a bit slow at times as well.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing that great culture, it makes work so enjoyable! Only other suggestion would be to work on removing some of the roadblocks that slow down approvals or needed communications on policies and procedures.

I worked at Erickson Living full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The culture is pretty great, and the coworkers are awesome. Great benefits.

    Cons

Management doesn't always hear the 'small' guys. They are all about the nurses and the main staff to take care of the residents, but don't seem to care much about the other random employees they have. Pay was just ok.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you are paying attention to all of your teams/employees. Some suffer in silence and you are losing a lot of good talent because of over-worked and under-appreciated staff.

I have been working at Erickson Living full-time for more than a year

    Pros

enjoyable working with most residents. great benefits and competitive salary.

    Cons

there seems to be a chronic problem with the staff turnover. disgruntled staff members constantly complain that the executive management team has no idea how to effectively manage anyone. management has various issues the most being that the managers have no idea what their subordinates do or how their jobs get accomplished. The managers are just that, managers. most have no actual experience in the related field that they oversee only that they have a management degree. the other issues with management and corporate stem from what appears to be an overbearing legal department. the hands of staff members have effectively been tied with policy and procedure handed down from corporate and legal. Can be very difficult to complete daily tasks without violating policy and procedure.

    Advice to Management

quit worrying about being sued constantly and hire appropriate people for the positions that need to be filled. hiring anyone who walks thru the door is whats causing the problems and the dissension with employees. employees don't trust management because management lacks the knowledge to make decisions that best fit the company and the employees, not just the company.
