Great Start to Working for Teens
Mar 19, 2023 - Dinning Services- Student Server in New Providence, NJRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- great pay compared to most places offering teenagers a job - offer bonuses for referrals and sign-ons - have begun to do better and more training for positions - laid back but professional work environment - introduces teens to the fundamentals of having a job - teaches social skills and allows employees to be personable, interacting with residents and aids
Cons
- specific employees usually complete certain jobs, leaving the crew from night to night to be understaffed since they can only do specific things - can be slightly unconscious to the fact that most servers are teens - HR is a little shaky or hard to reach since their hours are not during the servers' working hours - some residents can be rude and a bit inappropriate at times

Pros
Great work environment. Friendly staff, surrounded by happy residents enjoying community and activity in the final great chapter of their lives. The company respects your hours. Work can be demanding, but the opportunity to build relationships with staff and residents is best in class.
Cons
Struggling to find any. The job requires you to be able to work well with others and to be able to find satisfaction in building/maintaining relationships. If that doesn't suit you, might not be your best choice.

Pros
The benefits are great..the upper level managers are awesome atleast at Highland Springs they are...we are like a family there and they have made me feel at ease and a part of the team from the day I was hired.
Cons
Lower level managers in the fireside grill play a lot of favoritism...they don't communicate to well with other managers They yell at you for a doing something that another manager has told you to do instead of talking with the other manager about why it what you were doing..most complaints are for the way the fireside grill managers treat their employees as far as favoritism is concerned..and they don't communicate very well with anyone employees or other managers working along side them..
